I find gameplay to be kinda stuck right now. MMorpg are not offering much new. same old grind and glitz.

Fps are same boat. How many variations of Capture the flag are there? Not many that provide much excitement.

Is my addiction to teamwork screwing me over? I want FPS's that are more than a gankfest. I want RPG that are more than grinding.

Now before you jump ... consider this. I have been involved in beta and release of several new games. Quite a number of MMorpg are now touting Live Content like it was a gift from above. From what i have seen its promise is hollow. and on the FPS side, we all acknowledge FarCry as the god of visual detail, but its online gameplay is the same old stuff. I have been looking at Guildwars, but even that seems to have limited options for gameplay.

When will there be something new ??

Lots of people are starting to address this issue. Some people think that the industry is stuck in a feature war. They don't feel like the hook factor is really the ongoing content. I would agree with them, but it is hard to sell something to a quick fix society that isn't immediately approachable upon entering your game world.

I would like to have a mmorpg where the player can create shops, and buildings and such. I would also like a game that can be played by the biggest audience - a game with mid-range requirements that can be ran from dial up and any other type of connection without having a major difference in the gameplay.

I have always hated when i got onto a game and my connection made the game bad for me or if it was just another stereotypical mmo.
