The True Nerd That I Am!
Born the youngest of 6
in the south burbs of Chicago.
Mom went back to work a lil after I was born.
My 4 brothers teased and spoiled me
(even to this day)
but most of my time growing up
was spent with my grandparents.
And I loved every min. of it!!
Then I started @ St. Jude the Apostel
School and Church
(before the name was changed).
I was there for K-8th grade
and only really keeping my grades up there closer to graduation.
On some of my days off mom would take me to work with her
and stick me on a computer.
Where I would play in paint, powerpoint, and arts & letters
(while they still had it).
So I definately know my way around the computer.
And YES I know to check if it's plugged in first :-P .. lol
Then hits high school!
Here I am.
Forced to go to an all girl catholic school.
Don't get me wrong..
I loved going there and the atmospere
(when it wasn't giving me ulcers).
While going there I get my good grades
and find myself being inducted
into the National Honor Society
when I'm only a Sophmore!
Around the same time I got a letter about
getting into Who's Who.
Which ment alot in my family since only one child hasn't gotten into it.
Even my brother who had A.D.D. go it!!
Props for Joe!! *does lil dance*
In my Junior year I was asked to be the editor of the school year book.
I went to not band camp but yes Yearbook camp..
Oh was that fun and really good food too.
There i learned to use the program and how white space is bad!!
lol
You're gonna love this!!
So I'm taking Intro to Computers,
cuz we have too,
and also this computer art class.
Well i totally blow off the Intro class
cuz the teacher for the class was the same one running the yearbook!!
BONUS!!
Although I used that time to work on the yearbook,
but I also had a stash of candy in the yearbook locker. :)
No eating in class my butt!!
lmao.. He even knew about that and didn't care!!
Then the teacher for the other class gave me extra credit
for helping the other girls with their projects
since we were mostly using Powerpoint!!
Props For Mom!!!
Without her I wouldn't have known the programs!!
You know in your Senior year you have to have some blow off classes.
The only true non Nerdy thing that i did
was to take a slide on the gym floor for a pass in the football chapter..
The teacher called me Kamikaze!
I loved it!!
Then came college where i really didn't want to go to school anymore..
not that I didn't like it.. I just didn't want to be there!!
From there I have a bunch of bad boyfriends
that is until I met my mikey!!
And don't let his lies decive you...
I was the one who found his Geek and Nerdy jobs!!
I was the one to say.. "Hey! Look! BestBuy!"
and to find the Nerdmobile.
From then we moved in together
and got married a year after
(about 2 years of togetherness before marrage).
And if you don't have enough proof,
we actually got married at the Renassance Faire up here.
(pics to come!)
Well i'm done for now..
my head hurts!!
I'll add more later,
but for now..
Keep Raving!
And drop me a line sometime
i can't get to know you if we don't chat!!
