THEY NEED OUR PRAYERS

Request

I understand the weather in Iraq  is very difficult to bear right now. Our troops need our prayers for strength,  endurance and safety.

I am sorry but I am not breaking this one. Send  this on after a short prayer; please don't break it:

"Lord, hold our troops in your loving  hands.
Protect them as they protect us.
Bless them and their families for the selfless  acts they perform for us in our time of need.
I ask this in the name of Jesus, our Lord and  Savior.
 Amen."

When you receive this, please stop for a moment  and say a prayer for our troo ps around the world.
There's nothing attached; just send this to all  in your address book. Do not let it stop with you, please - of all the gifts  you could give a US Soldier, Sailor, Airman, or Marine deployed in harm's  way, prayer is the very best!!!

Thank you.

SOLDIERS IN IRAQ
I hope the picture will go through for you - of this Army soldier in Iraq with his tiny "plot" of grass in front of his tent.
It's heartwarming!

Here is a soldier stationed in Iraq , stationed in a big sand box. He asked his
wife to send him dirt ( U.S. soil), fertilizer, and some grass seed so that he can have the sweet aroma, and feel the grass grow beneath his feet. When the men of the squadron have a mission that they are going on, they take turns walking through the grass and the American soil - to bring them good luck.

If you notice, he is even cutting the grass with a pair of a scissors. Sometimes we are in such a hurry that we don't stop and think about the little things that we take for granted.

Upon receiving this, please say a prayer for our British, Canadian and American soldiers that give and give (and give up) so unselfishly for us.

You don't have to send this on, but gosh, who wouldn't ?

WHERE GOD AIN'T
He was just a little boy, on a week's first day.
He was wandering home from Sunday School, and dawdling on the way.

He scuffed his shoes into the grass; he found a caterpillar.
He found a fluffy milkweed pod, and blew out all the "filler."

A bird's nest in a tree overhead, so wisely placed on high.
Was just another wonder that caught his eager eye.

A neighbor watched his zig zag course, and hailed him from the lawn;
Asked him where he'd been that day and what was going on.

"I've been to Bible School," he said and turned a piece of sod.
He picked up a wiggly worm replying, "I've learned a lot of God."

"M'm very fine way," the neighbor said, "for a boy to spend his time."
"If you'll tell me where God is, I'll give you a brand new dime."

Quick as a flash the answer came!  Nor were his accents faint.
"I'll give you a dollar, Mister, if you can tell me where God ain't."

GRANDPAERNTS
Give them my loose change, and they give me a million dollars' worth of pleasure. ~Gene Perret

My grandkids believe I'm the oldest thing in the world. And after two or three hours with them, I believe it, too.

An hour with your grandchildren can make you feel young again. Anything longer than that, and you start to age quickly. ~Welsh Proverb

Perfect love sometimes does not come until the first grand-child. ~Gore Vidal

Never have children, only grandchildren. ~Ogden Nash

When grandparents enter the door, discipline flies out the window. ~Marcy DeMaree

Grandma always made you feel she had been waiting to see just you all day and now the day was complete. ~Lois Wyse

If I had known how wonderful it would be to have grand-children, I'd have had them first. ~Henry Youngman

My grandmother is over eighty and still doesn't need glasses. Drinks right out of the bottle. ~Mary H. Waldrip

Grandchildren are God's way of compensating us for growing old. ~Proverb

You do not really understand something unless you can explain it to your grandmother. ~Dave Barry

The best babysitters, of course, are the baby's grandparents. You feel completely comfortable entrusting your baby to them for long periods, which is why most grandparents flee to Florida. ~Alex Haley

Nobody can do for little children what grandparents do. Grandparents sort of sprinkle stardust over the lives of little children. ~Joy Hargrove

One of the most powerful handclasps is that of a new grand-baby around the finger of a grandfather. ~G. Norman Collie

Grandchildren don't make a man feel old; it's the knowledge that he's married to a grandmother. ~Authors Unknown

Grandmother-grandchild relationships are simple. Grandmas are short on criticism and long on love.

Grandmas are moms with lots of frosting.

Grandparents are similar to a piece of string - handy to have around and easily wrapped around the fingers of their grandchildren.

Grandmothers are just antique little girls.

It's amazing how grandparents seem so young once you become one.

A grandparent is old on the outside but young on the inside.

Grandmas never run out of hugs or cookies.

Grandmas hold our tiny hands for just a little while, but our hearts forever.

IF YOU'RE NOT ASHAME OF ME

New Pledge of Allegiance!

Keep this going.. Maybe  those  with half of a brain will see it..

Since the Pledge of Allegiance

and

The Lord's Prayer

are not allowed in most
public schools anymore

Because the word "God" is mentioned....

A kid in Arizona wrote t he attached
NEW
School
prayer.

I liked it....

Now I sit me down in school

Where praying is against the rule

For this great nation under God

Finds mention of Him very odd.

If Scripture now the class recites,

It violates the Bill of Right s.

And anytime my head I bow

Becomes a Federal matter now.

Our hair can be purple, orange or green,

That's no offense; it's a freedom scene.

The law is specific, the law is precise.

Prayers spoken aloud are a serious vice.

For praying in a public hall

Might offend someone with no faith at all.

In silence alone we must meditate,

God's name is prohibited by the state.

We're allowed to cuss and dress like freaks,

And pierce our noses, tongues and cheeks.

They've outlawed guns, but FIRST the Bible.

To quote the Good Book makes me liable. < BR>

We can elect a pregnant Senior Queen,

And the 'unwed daddy,' our Senior King.

It's "inappropriate" to teach right from wrong,

We're taught that such "judgments" do not belong.

We can get our condoms and birth controls,

Study witchcraft, vampires and totem poles.

But the Ten Commandments are not allowed,

No word of God must reach this crowd.

It's scary here I must confess,

When chaos reigns the school's a mess.

So, Lord, this silent plea I make:

Should I be shot; My soul please take!

Amen

If you aren't ashamed to do this,

please pass this on.

Jesus said,

"If you are ashamed of me,

I will be ashamed of you before my Father."

MAKES SENSE TO ME
THE LAW IS THE LAW

So if the US government determines that it is against the !
law for the words "under God" to be on our money, then,
so be it.

And if that same government decides that the

"Ten Commandments"
are not to be used in or on a
government installation, then,
so be it.

I say,
"so be it," because I would like to be a
law abiding US citizen.

I say,
"so be it," because I would like to think that
smarter people than I are in positions to make good decisions.

I would like to think that those people have the

American public's best interests at heart..
BUT, YOU KNOW WHAT ELSE I'D LIKE?

Since we can't pray to God, can't Trust in God and cannot post His Commandments in Government buildings
, I don't believe the Government and its
employees should participate in the
Easter and Christmas
celebrations which honor the God
that our government
is eliminating from many facets of American life.

I'd like my
mail delivered on Christmas, Good Friday, Thanksgiving & Easter. After all, it's just another day.

I'd like the
" US Supreme Court to be in session on Christmas, Good Friday, Thanksgiving & Easter as
well as Sundays." After all, it's just another day.

I'd like the
Senate and the House of Representatives
to not have to worry about getting home for the "Christmas Break." After all it's just another day.

I'm thinking that a lot of
my taxpayer dollars could be saved, if all government offices & services would
work on Christmas, Good Friday & Easter. It shouldn't cost any overtime since those would be just like any other
day of the week to a government that is trying to be "politically correct."
In fact....

I think that
our government should work on Sundays (initially set aside for worshipping God...) because, after all, our government says that
it should be just another day.....
What do you all think????

If this idea gets to enough people,
maybe our elected
officials will stop giving in to the "minority opinions"
and begin, once again, to represent the "majority"
of ALL of the American people.
SO BE IT...........

Please Dear Lord,

Give us the help needed to keep you in our country!

'Amen' and 'Amen'
Touche!

These are definitely things I never thought about but

from now on, I will be sure to question those in
government who support these changes.

At the top, it says
"I hope this makes its way around
the USA several times over!!!!!"
Let'see that it does.
