Understanding the heart

I never really understood the ways of the heart until 3 things happened in my life
1. Lost a really close loved one
2. Fell in love for the very first time
3. Had my first child

I never knew I could feel so bad or feel so good. The hurt from losing some one close compares to nothing in this world and having a child doesnt either...but there is one about #2 that can go either way...you can stay in love and be happy or lose the love of your life and it be just like losing some one close to you ...A part of you dies when the heart breaks and I've experienced it all. As i sit back and look at the world im surrounded in I often see people taking life and the actions of the heart entirely too lightly... But i guess it takes different things for different people to-- truly understand the ways of their own hearts....U tell me
