TRANSFER OWNERSHIP OF YOUR COMMUNITY (PASS THE BATON)

Login.
Click on "My Communities" in the navigation bar, then select the community you wish to transfer ownership.
Click on "Members" in the navigation bar.
Click the checkbox of the member you wish to transfer ownership to, then click the "transfer" hyperlink underneath his or her profile photo.

STARTING A COMMUNITY

Login.
Click on "My Kaneva".
Click on "Start a Community".
Fill out the information and populate it with content. Click "launch this community" to finish.

VIEWING RESTRICTED CONTENT

1. Login.

2. Click on My Kaneva in the top right.

3. Next, click on My Account in the navigation bar.

4. Then, click on Preferences.

5. Under the Adult Settings section, the top section, click the check box for "Show me restricted content".

CREATING A "FRIENDS GROUP"

Login
Click on "My Kaneva"
Click on "My Friends"
Click on "Friend Groups"
Click on the Add Button next to "Create a new Friend Group:"
Type a group name, then click the "Save" button
Click on "Friends List" at the top of the page and check the friends you wish to add to the new friends group you have created
Click the drop-down menu and you should see the name of the new friends group you created, then click the "Add" button.
Now, you may use the new friends group in a number of ways. You may edit your friends widget and select which group to show or you may go to the "Layout" menu, select a page you wish only certain people to view, select "Friends Only", then choose the new friends group you've created in the drop-down menu. Don't forget to save your changes.

ADDING SHOWCASE WIDGETS

There are many types of Showcase widgets that allow transform your profile and/or community into a more robust and dynamic page. Examples of Showcase Widgets allow you to start a leader board, add an fast "upload" media button to your community, and much more.

To add a Showcase Widget to your profile or community, follow the steps below:

Login.
Click on My Kaneva at top right.
Click on "My Communities", then select the channel you wish to add a new Showcase Widget to OR click on "My Profile" if you want to add a Showcase Widget to one of your profile pages.
Click on "Layout".
Look in the widgets panel on the left, at the bottom, click open next to "Other" to view the new showcase widgets.

MAKING "PRIVATE" PAGES

Have you ever wanted a page just you could view, such as digital diary? Have ever wanted a page that only you and your closest friends could view? We'll show you how. Follow the steps below:

Login.
Click on My Kaneva at top right.
Click on "My Communities" (if you want to make a community page private) OR click on "My Profile" to make a profile page private.
Next, click "Layout".
Select the page you wish to make "Private" by clicking on it's page icon OR create a new page and select it.
Next, click on "Only Me" to make the page private only to you or you may choose "Members Only" to make the page private to a Group you have created. When choosing "Members Only" you will need to select the group you wish to grant access to. You may only grant access to friends group, so if you may need to create a new custom group for the page before completing this step.
When you have selected a group, click "Save" to finish.

***Please Note: If you make your "main page" private by selecting "Only Me" no one will be able to send you a message, nor request you as a friend. If you make your main profile page set to "Friends Only", strangers will only be able to send you a friends request. They will not be able to message you.
