Yes, you do need to be a Kaneva member, so join Kaneva now! Then you can upload media, display it in your channel(s), share it with other members, your family and friends, and the world.

Kaneva lets you upload and display many of the most common types of video, audio and photo file formats. We convert all video files to Macromedia Flash format to ensure more users can enjoy your video. Here is a chart outlining media formats we accept:

After you sign in, you can upload up to 5 media files at once. In addition, you can upload any mix of media types simultaneously, such as 2 videos, 1 photo, 1 music file, and 1 flash game.

All your media, with the exception of video, will go live to the Kaneva audience and the world within minutes. To be easily viewable to the widest possible audience, your videos will be converted to Flash format, a process which may require up to one business day.

A Rave is how Kaneva members say, “Hey, I like this.” Click the Rave button whenever you see something that impresses you. The media and channels that generate the most Raves rise to the top of Kaneva’s top lists. Here’s a tip: Rave yourself or your media to get the ball rollingbut your can only self-rave once!
9. Can I delete my media?
Yes you can, but do take note of the impact it might have on others. On Kaneva, members who like your media may connect to it in a variety of ways -- they may send the link to their friends, add it to their collections or refer to it in their blog. When you delete the file, you also delete their access to the media.
10. Does Kaneva claim any ownership of my media once I upload it?
No, Kaneva does not claim ownership to your media. To paraphrase the Kaneva user agreement, Kaneva can use your uploaded media in accordance with your settings, until you decide to delete the media file.
