My newest poem

God's Hands

Angels glide through the night

Over bridges and in windows

Searching for souls that are lost

Gently whispering in their ear.

"You never walk alone,

God guides you to places,

He never lets you stray far,

It's easy to find your way in God's Hands."

Shining light shows the path

Between righteousness and wrongness

Between hope and fear

Between strength and weakness.

"Believe that you never walk alone,

Use the power of knowledge,

Have the will to have hope,

Trust the strength in God's Hands."

Be the best person that you can be

Don't disobey those older then you

Listen with all your heart

Know when to talk and when to listen.

"Trust that you never walk alone,

Speak to those around you,

Speak with your heart,

Place your hands in God's Hands."

Greetings

Hey gang I'm back from a very long absence. The trouble was that my Grandad had passed a way and I had to leave for Greece where I had stayed for a rather long time. When I got back to the States I had a lot of things to catch up on like school work and modeling work. I'm really happy that I wasn't too far behind in either one but on here it moved on without me and I expected that. Anyways, I'm back and trying to get caught up on all the new changes that has been made to Kaneva and it sort of looks like the World is now opened to everyone which is nice. I'm glad to see you all again and look forward to having a good time in the World. Have a nice day, Amanda

1/17/07-Poem

This is just a little something I cooked up yesterday while on break. It's abit of a moral type poem.

Truth

A playground full of children

Laughter springs about from one to another

Nothing seems wrong, all are playful

In the distance one little boy sits on the cold ground.

Face turned towards the pavement

Watching it distort from tears covering his lens

The giants gather around him sneering

His small frame is no match.

Hands lift him up to his feet

They push him from one to the other

All the while saying hurtful things

Not long does the black ground become his friend again.

At this time something had changed

The boy stood back up and brushed off his pants

Than turned looking the giants in the eye

"Its not what's on the outside but whats on the inside that counts".

Confused glances were echanged between the giants

The boy walked a way not looking back

Although his heart was pounding

He knew he did the right thing.

Years went passed and the children grew up

The once crying little boy now is a powerful individual

One of the richest people around

His giants made him who he is today.

Sometimes he wonders where they are today

If they too had changed or if they are still the same

He hopes his words were effective

At least enough to help other children from falling victim to his giants.

In the morning after the headlines said it all

'"Three bodies of children found in house"'

Beside the article a picture of men in handcuffs

The giants went too far over the line.

Behind steal bars now they can think

The small disfigured boy from the playground flashed through their mind

Knowing exactly what he was trying to tell them

Finding out he was right but it was to late.

Remember not to be judgemental

Because you just might have life to think about the Truth.

1/10/07-Poem

This is my newest poem that I just created. It reflects myself with a special someone and he knows who he is.

Timeless

Laying silently by your side

I watch as you softly sleep

While a gentle shower of silvery moonlight traces your strong features

What a breathless sight.

You stir every once in a while

Changing the shape of your body each time

Light lapping each corner

If only we could stay this way.

Outlining the shape of your lips with a finger

Shadows dance along your face

The softness is too inviting, too tempting

Tasting is sweeter then ever imagined.

Without waking you I pull back

Looking down upon you, you look almost like a child

Strong features tone down to an angelic innocent boyish glow

It's enough to keep for it is timeless, your timeless.

No More Tears

First things first. I would like to thank those people who have voted on which poem title(s) they liked the best. I am pleased to present my newest poem which I am looking forward to having published in Celebrate! Young Poets Speak Out for a second time in a row. The following people are members who have helped pick the title and make the poem that it is: Chelsea (Cousin), Thayer, ChicF8793, and CornCurlGirl. To these individuals I will personally thank. Now here is the poem please enjoy it and tell me what you think:

Silence closes in all around
The only thing heard throughout the darkness
Is the ticking of the clock and soft gasps of air
Tears fall down like rain.

Rocking back and forth as sleep grows near
Letting the pain cease to exist the rest of the night
Overwhelmed by confusion of the wonder of lost love
The heartache grows more everyday.

Day after day happiness shows on the outside
While on the inside it's a war ripping me to shreds
Feeling of lost hope and loneiness takes its tow on my body
When finally I give in to my worst fear of being alone.

As the end drew near a light from above shone
Helping me to stray from the edge to my never ending death
Your arms closed around me and chased the darkness away
Soon you have made my suffering go away.

Time was at a stand still
I became lost in the depth of your eyes
Reaching your hand to take mine while saying,
"I am with you now. I'm sorry that I'm late. Please cry no more tears."

Ex Trouble!

Okay here is the situation my old boyfriend had come to visit me today. We had went out for about a year. I'm in a different relationship of who I really love very much but my ex had come to "take" me back. He was the one who had left me for some other person and get this it was another guy

. I have nothing against the same sex liking each other but that freaks me out and I'm sure everyone here might agree with me. Anyways, he had actually made me cry because he said that he would tell horrible lies to my boyfriend now. Like I'm pregnant with his baby and stuff which I'm not. Please help me because I don't know what to do. Thanks, Amanda

Too Many Pies

It's almost time that I leave for Greece and my family would like me to bake some pies. They gave me a list of what flavor I like but I'm not sure which one. If everyone could please help me that would be great. I don't have alot of time so I need some suggestions a.s.a.p. Here is some tips that may or may not help in everyones vote. The dinner is formal and dessert won't come until late. Here is the list:

My Perfect Mate

Hand in hand, heart to heart

My body sails further into the sea

Along a journey that has been traveled time after time

Sometimes failed and sometimes successful.

Out of the darkness come a light

Leading me through open doors I have never seen

Sadness and shame turned into happiness and hopefulness.

Wrapping your arms around me you life me high

I feel your strength coursing over my body

Our goals are set and together we'll reach them

Only you and I will finish what we started.

Happy Thanksgiving!

It's hard to believe that it's Thanksgiving already. It kind of feels like the year had just started but now it's close to ending. Time goes so fast year after year. I guess that saying is true, "So much to do but so little time." I'd have to agree with it. Though I get things done there just never seems to be enough time to do more. I say this and family always says in return, "What's your rush? Your still young yet so enjoy yourself and the time that you do have." Leave it to my family to be always right, lol. Well, I hope everyone has a good Thanksgiving and hopefully not get sick from eating all that food. Make sure you all leave enough room for dessert!! HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

My Latest Poem

Hi everyone. This is the poem that I did when I was 12th grade and had submited to Celebrate Young Poets. This company is nation wide throughout the U.S. Anyways, here is the poem so tell me what you think please. Thanks and have a nice day!

Purple Rose

Scent, the scent smells so pure

Very light and relaxing

That it calms the body.

Color, the color is so lush

Under the shadows it deepens

Creating the illusion to be black.

Fair, the fair image is flawless

With the leaves and thorns that it bears

Giving it a sense of mystery.

Dancer, the dancer gives off

A scent, color, and is fair

Just that of a purple rose.

Animal Rescue

Hey everyone. I was wondering if anyone knows about any animal conventions here in the states you know for homeless, mistreated, or has survived a disaster? Back in Greece I have gone to many different conventions but these kind are my most favorite because of all the stories that each animal has. They seem to me at least the most heart felt. I would be most grateful if anyone that has information would be wonderful and kind enough to share with me because I want to do everything I can to help out helpless creatures. Thanks.

Need The Girls Opinion

Hey ladies I have a some situation going on and I need some other female advice. I'm going away for awhile back to my own home country Greece. That's right Greece. A party is going on there but I'm not sure exactly what to wear for the pool side of the party. I have a one piece that's dark blue then there is my bikini thats a burnt orange.
