Shooting for the Charts

As grand prize winners of the first How Down Is Your Sound talent search, Marv-N-Cash (Wayne Nichols and Anthony Hedgepeth) are now chasing their dream to break into the hip-hop charts.

Along with a cash prize of $7,500 to help finance their careers, the College Park, Georgia duo are already working with some of the top producers and recording studios in the industry to refine their sound. Their How Down springboard to fame includes:

A free recording session at Dallas Austin's DARP Studios in Atlanta, where superstars TLC, Boyz II Men, Madonna and Monica have put down chart-topping tracks.

A five-song demo recording deal with Atlanta's Block Entertainment, with an estimated cash value of $50,000.
A one day song writing internship with Grammy Award winning producer Sean Garrett.
