Q. Is there any way to send a link to my catalog of items?
I know how to link ONE item, but I want to link my index
page.
Or should I create my own website that links to each item?
I want to blast my items for sale, but not one at a time.

Q.
A lot of designers are trying to make the clothing that
leaves skin showing, due to both lighting and skin tones
this is an extremely hard job.
In other games where I have played and made textures
for we have been able to access the skin textures and
then work the clothing textures over the top giving the
illusion of open shirts and backless dress’s etc.
You have uploaded the texture maps for use to use,
but I’m now asking can we also have the flesh tone skins.?

These are the new 12 skin tones from
the neck of the avis.
Shades may vary slightly depending
on hangout. try making back and arms
a shade darker.

in short this means you can leave shirts open and
the avatars flesh is still showing .
pgn is also a higher quality then jpg more detail
can be shown and
still saved at same size,

basically its a jpeg version of the alpha channel...
a black picture with what ever is made white in
relation to
the template will become transparent on the
shirt (showing the avatars real skin)...
which you upload with your main template texture
(almost like you would upload a thumbnail extra)
that way designers don't have to make different
shirts with different skins tones....
as it use's the avatars real skin tone..... (and if you
change your avatars skin, the other clothing you
bought doesn't become useless:P )
At this time Kaneva don't have that so have to
use skintones

Q. what if we decide to give clothing textures
away as free ?
A. You can give the templates you design to anyone
but that's not the clothes.
To get the actual article of clothing made from the
template, the item must be uploaded and purchased
so...you can't give away clothes - not even to yourself.

Q. Can we test them while making to make sure
they are right or if not happy with the design or the
way things look can we delete it before its sold?

A. Upload the template then try it on.
If it's good, I leave it.
If not, I delete the article of clothing, adjust
the pattern then upload it again.
(and again, and again).
Only takes a minute or so for uploaded items
to appear and even less time to try them on
and delete them.
While it is possible that someone might purchase
the item in that short period of time,
I believe it is unlikely.
Neotanium suggested naming items test during
this phase then once they are right,
giving the item its actual name (and deleting all
tests items, of course.)
NOTE: Whatever you enter as the Item Name
(first blank) is what item will be named in your inventory.
Didn't realize this as first so didn't name items very well.
I also include Men's or Women's in the Item Name
as I have purchased items I have made for men and
then "given" them to men to try on for me.
Couldn't tell which was a men's shirt and which was a
women's shirt when looking at my inventory.

A. Nope
Also, after you upload the article of clothing
you can edit the following for the item:
Item Name,
Design Commission,
Categorization (whether or not an access pass
is requiredto purchase item),
tag(s),
description
and you can upload a new thumbnail.
I believe I saw somewhere that there is
a glitch that if you change the thumbnail
the first thumbnail you uploaded will still
be the one you see for the item in your
inventory.
Oh yes, Do NOT upload the actual template
as the thumbnail; people WILL steal your
designs.

Ok easy i used paint and make all the line white...
now is just a black space you can colour in and add
buttons and bits and then you done..
just remember to save as JPG when finished and
DO NOT edit size
you only have to add color or fabric to my templets
and they will be finished ... this makes easy for
people useing Ms Paint

Currently cannot purchase tattoos from the tattoo shop in world.
You can however buy user made clothes, or design them yourself,
that include tattoos.
As for wearing AP items in your home, you have to set your home
to AP only first. To do this, click on the settings button (its next to
rave and is default to be in the top right corner), and check the box
that says "Require Access Pass to enter". After you do this, you will
be able to wear AP items in your home, as well as place AP objects in
it. Be aware, if other people are in your home when you do this, they
will all be kicked and have to come back. Also, if you place any AP
items, you will have to remove them before you can take it off.

HOW YOU MAKE CLOTHES TO FIT RIGHT?
Not sure if this
will help any but what
I did was to upload the
templates as clothes.
Just plain with nothing
on them but the lines,
then try on the shirt.
take pictures of
yourself in the shirt.
then you can look at
where the lines on the
template actually fit
on your avi's body.
Then you can even put
different colors on
different lines to show
which is where. Like
green on the side seam
or red on the bustline
area. Hope this helps

how get tattoos ?
One way you can get a tattoo is to go to
shop.kaneva.com and sign in.
on the left side menu, click on clothing.
choose your gender, and search for
something like "tattoo" or "skin art".
find a tattoo you like, TRY IT ON!.
and if you like it, you can ask the creator
to make the tattoo in your skin tone, and
then they should tell you how to get
to the shirt from there, and buy it.
If you think you are good enough, and
you want to make your own.
go to designer.kaneva.com. click on the
big blue "get started" link.download the
shirt template for your gender.on the
shirt template, put your skin tone, and
some tattoo over it. and also, if you want,
put some kind of top over it so you're not
showing too much, and you won't have to
make it access pass only.save the top, and
upload it to shop.kaneva.com.

or something.

you have to buy the access pass combo pack
when you're in-world, try and go to the underground.
when that little pop-up telling you need to have an
access pass, click on "purchase access pass".when you
log in after the page comes up, select the combo pack
that includes the tattoo.
fill out the billing info, or use paypal.
and when you're done, log out, and log back in.
and you should have your tattoo
just to let you know..your tattoo can only be worn
in AP areas.

in the shirt, but you can use a picture, using the same
technique.

are many tutorials on You Tube http://www.youtube.com/results?searc...q=make+imvu+cl although some
use opacity maps we dont so skip that part in any of the videos.
Ok now your last comment Im not sure if you think that what
you make will be yours to keep in your inventory but no you
have to buy it with credits either ones you pay for or earn from selling your
clothes I hope this helped you out a bit.

make sure that if the item is marked AP ..that you have AP and that your home is set
to AP
If you dont have the 3D world open yet and are on the shopping site and click try it..
your sign in box to 3D will pop up..just sign in and you should show up in your home
with the item on..If your not wearing the item..click the try it button again
I suggest to try on someone elses work also..to make sure this function is working for
others and not just your design
also make sure its gender friendly
Then if all else fails..submit a ticket with iformation on your problem.

Avatar will be wearing the item you have selected, take a screenshot of your
Avatar wearing the item, go back to the 'Shop Kaneva' page and in my merchandise
click on Edit and upload that thumbnail picture. You can take a screenshot using
your 'Print screen' button and then opening paint or you can use a screen capture

A.Thats ok just drop the page to taskbar and go into Kaneva you will then see
you in your outfit. That page has nothing to do but to send you there. It has already
put the outfit on you. It just send you to the page to let you know its done even if
it don't tell you that. Did you look to see if your wearing it in there? You should be.
