I don't mean to get off on a rant....

Apologies should be made beforehand about me even needing to create this entry, but I think people need to read it.

    I am by no means a perfect person or an angel, but it is beyond reasoning why, in this day and time, others choose to force their somewhat limited views of society on others. I have made some great friends here online, and some I would consider my friends in real life as well. We all come here to escape everyday life and express ourselves for who we are inside. One of my aforementioned friends here was harassed by someone who, in some unfortunate twist of society, has not been informed that raciscm and prejudice have no place or tolerance in modern society. To think that the harasser took explicit time to display his limited intelligence to us were almost comical. Far from being as low brow as this individual was, those around said friend simply removed him from our situation, thus showing that even amongst those that have never actually met each other, there is a sense of devotion and protection. Just as you are expected to defend someone and aid them in the real world, it is just as noble and right to do it here. Most of you do.
    My point here is that we are all here to enjoy ourselves, not be intimidated or ridiculed. Think before you speak and act accordingly. Even though this is a virtual world, to some it is a haven. It need not be tainted by those less insightful as we are. Please keep this in mind when you see another member being harassed. Or if the offender is you, please take it elsewhere. This is a place for self expression and pleasure, not the 1800's.
