Dis-belief!
I've done it! I've actually gotten all the indoor Christmas decorations up and they are in all the rooms of the house, not just two or three rooms, and it's only the second week of December. I have gotten presents bought (though not all of them), wrapped, and under the tree. I've a pretty clear idea on the rest of the presents we'll be buying, or making, and I've done it all on a cheeper budget this year.
I refuse to let the government, the economy, Merry, or anyone else force an un-happy Christmas on me and my family this year! The government can wait a couple of weeks for their taxes, I can't do anything about the economy myself and worrying isn't helping, Merry may evict my kids but they won't be out in the cold no matter what she does.
So, I'm thumbing my nose to all those who say 'Bah humbug, give me your money!', and enjoying the season of love, peace, and joy. Merry Christmas!

I can't believe it!
I've actually gotten some Christmas shopping done before Thanksgiving! I always say I'm gonna start early, but this year I actually
did
it. I'm going with a kitchen theme for the ladies (last year it was the bath), and automotive for the fellas. I love the gift bag idea (thanks to my friend Crip), and I love being able to get some of the items inexpensively at one of my favorite stores.

May they rest in peace...
I'll miss Mr. Caudell, he was a good neighbor and a nice man. I'll miss the good mornings we exchanged, the waves to each other, and the small talk we made from our respective porches. I'm glad that I knew him and I'm glad that he met both of my granddaughters.
I'll miss seeing Barbra walking past the house to visit Patty. I'll miss her vibrant personallity. I'll miss her English accent and her sailors language.
I hope they both rest in peace.

Friday night fun...
We had such a good time Friday night.
We went first to a kitchen supply store and I fell in love, I could spend a ton of money there easily! Which means Harv's glad it's a good thing it's a long drive to that particular store.
My goodness, they had everything there that you could imagine, and then some! I spent close to a hundred dollars there and didn't get a quarter of what I'd like to buy. LOL!
I plan on having Harv pick up a few things in a couple of weeks, and to go back myself as soon as I have some extra bucks to spend.
Then it was on to Penn Station for a bite to eat before going to the play. We shared a club sub, and it tasted great (of course), but I was really just too excited to eat very much. I did, however, eat the fries.
LOL!
After Penn Station, it was on to the University's theater!
I've only been to two plays, that is until Friday night, and they were in my high school days and they were preformed by high school students. Now, to give them high school plays their due, I thought the students did an excellent job of it and enjoyed both plays at the time and in my memories. The first one was Camelot, the second was Fiddle on the Roof. Now I can add Chicago to my list of seen theater plays, with a more professional troup, and I REALLY enjoyed it.
They added a few of their own little twists, and there were a couple of numbers that I'd not heard in the other versions I've seen on the tube, but I liked that they did it with their own flair. I also liked how they managed certain scenes, like the 'Razzle Dazzle' number, the hanging of the young Hungarian girl, and Velma and Roxie's stage number. I liked how the background was also a part of the scenery and was used for exits and entrances. It was in the form of an old Chicago brownstone building, and it was were the 'orchestra' was placed. It was also neat that the conductor was also incorporated into their scenes.
The only thing I didn't care for was how little room you had for sitting. The theater was built in the 1930's, or 40's, their audiences back then were all teeny, tiny, skinny people. The young lady sitting to my left told us that they cram the theater with students for classes, I couldn't imagine it, not these days.
Oh, and the rain. I could've done without the rain.
Still, all in all, we had a great night.
Why, I didn't even get to bed until 3:00 a.m.!

Good times were had...
At the kids' house last night. Jon's friend Carl came by for a short visit, it was nice seeing him. We haven't seen much of Jon's friends the last couple of years, and Carl was always one of my favorites. Caidie likes him too, and calls him Car-Car. LOL!
She and Jon were rough-necking before Carl showed up, and she was quick to go back to playing with Daddy before dinner was ready. I love watching the two of them (Jon and Caidie), play, and I know I'm gonna love watching Jon play with both Caidie and Taylor. That is when 'Tator' is big enough to join in on the rough housing.
We had spaghetti for dinner and, instead of a movie, we played the board game Scene It. It was pretty fun and I think we all liked it until Jon ran true to form and became that poor looser none of us care for.
I teased him about it and had fun anyway.
LOL!
I hope we all play again sometime, maybe Jon will win next time.

Long Time
Wow! It sure has been a long time since I've been here. Bad me, very bad me.
Well, since the last time I was in (I'll try to do better), I've gotten a new granddaughter. She's beautiful and doing very well.
Caidie is a little on the jealous side, but not too badly. When I tell her that Taylor is my granddaughter, she is sure to tell me that Taylor is her sister. LOL!

Bev, you have an 'R' because your site is restricted. As for all the people who want to be your friend, well why shouldn't they? You're so lovable. ;) Actually, you can accept them as your friends if you want. If it turns out you don't care for their attitudes, you can deletel them as your friend by going to My Friends at the top of the page.
