My Interests

About Me

My partner and I have a vision to better the world or at least part of it. We are doing a Biodiesel Project in Indonesia. We want to plant 2 million hectares of Jatropha, a tree that produces a nut that has oil in it. We will process the oil into Biodiesel. We plan to go to 3 different islands in Indonesia ultimately hiring upwards of 15,000 locals. Most of these people suffer from high unemployment, malnutrition, and poor medical care. The average income on some of these islands is less than you spend on a fast food meal.... for the year. We will give them jobs, provide water wells and irrigation to grow gardens, build schools and medical clinics. At the same time we will do our part to clean up the the petroleum based fuels that we all use on a daily basis. Since our product, unlike corn, soy, rapeseed, is not part of the food chain we will not affect the cost of eating in a third world country. Our project has started, we have the funding, and we will start planing Jatropha by the first of the year.
