Song "Mad Science" Based on "Weird Science"

Aurora took the song "Weird Science" and created her own version "Mad Science" for the Mad Science Union of Second Life.

She posted up on Lady Moiraine's website but something to that website and while it's back the post is missing.
But Google faithfully archived it and I grabbed it.
So here it is:

FIC vs MSU? Unlikely

The FIC is basically a group of old time SL builders.
They consider themselves the best. At least they are the best of the well known builders and scripters.

But I pride my group as being the best unknown talent in all of Second Life.
The FIC? They just don't know we exist. Right?

But Armord is part of the FIC. Armord went after Wolf and now after Fox. He's trying to discredit members of the MSU as crooks and he's willing to steal to do it.

This is Armord vs the MSU for now. I hope it dosn't become FIC vs MSU. Because then we'd have a serious battle.

However, We'd still win.

Armord Steals from the MSU Pt 2

Armord has discontinued many of his older designs in favor of updated designs based on Foxes armor.
I can't find Armord on the Second Life Exchange. Seems we underestimated the exchange. They figured out the little scam Armord was pulling.
Still it cost them credibility with the Mad Scientists Union.

Edit: Fox tells me Armord was never on the SLEX.

Armord Steals from the MSU

In Second life the very first shop you run into coming from the welcome area is Armord. A shop that sells space armor.
Deep hidden away in the bowls of Second life is a builder group who call themselves "The Mad Scientists Union".
With far less reputation and more time to work the MSU designs and builds many things they promptly throw away. It's all about making bigger and better builds.

January of 2007 Fox Doji of the MSU started work on her own armor. Her design was far better than anything that Second Life has ever seen.
By February of 2007 Fox had finished her armor and put it on sale on the SL EX.
Months later Armord contacted Fox claiming the legs from Foxes armor was stolen from Armord.
Maybe Armord thought Fox licensed the build for the legs from someone else and was trying to scam Fox into taking her armor off the market? Who knows.
In any case Fox knew better. She had made the legs herself so clearly Armord was blowing smoke up her skirt.
Then Fox found herself banned from the Second Life Exchange then Armord contacted Fox to tell her he reported her from stealing his helmet. A helmet he only just then created and put on the market.
I checked. Armord's helmet is a nearly identical prim copy of Foxes helmet.

Fox Doji and Armord both put stuff on the SLEX when the hit the market.
As such SLEXs database is a reasonably accurate record of who hit the market first.
In this case the SLEX database indicates Foxes armor was on the market first.
Also Foxes armor was on the SLEX for almost a year before Armord made the accusation.
Also Armord is not accusing Fox of stealing the armor but of stealing the helmet.

Logically, Why would someone make an armor and then steal the helmet?
Why would someone make a helmet and not the armor?

Why would it take nearly half a year before Armord would even notice this theft? And why would Armord wait the same half year before selling the helmet on the SLEX?

In addition the SLEX did not contact Fox Doji before banning her. They banned her and never told her why. However they did contact Armord and confirmed the ban.

Attempts were made to contact the SLEX regarding Foxes armor and the false accusation. The SLEX refused all contact.

In short The Second Life Exchange banned Fox Doji from the exchange knowing Fox Doji was the legitimate creator of the helmet and that Armord had stolen that helmet.

The latest armor from Armord is based on Foxes armor. Not anywhere near as good but a far superior item to Armord's previous offerings.

Work begins on ZenToe

Posted on Live Journal, Insane Journal and Kaneva.

As many of you are no doubt aware Live Journal is banning accounts with very questionable logic and when LJ users bring this fact up the LJ staff got abusive.

Many LJ users have become refugees on Insane Journal and Greatest Journal to avoid the censorship.

At issue is an erotic picture of Harry Potter as an adult having homosexual sex with one of the adult teachers (who seems to be the same at as Harry in the picture).
The person who posted the picture has been banned and the LJ staff seems to believe it's pedophilia as the main character is 11 when the story begins (however the staff claims the character is 5 cutting the youngest age by half)

In any case the time is right and before LJ I created ZenToe. The goal of ZenToe was to make it easy to set up your own forum (Journal/blog). LJ has that covered making ZT obsolete.

Now however the demand is now for a forum that won't play censorship games.
So I revive ZenToe but I'll be rewriting the code from scratch with a whole new goal in mind.

Hi Aurora

My friend from Second Life (Aurora) fellow mad scientist and lab partner. Hi.
Ok for the Kaneva people here is the deal. I'm an SL regular or at least I was until my laptop died.
Imagine my surprise when the Second Life client refuses to work on my new laptop.

The only way I can get on Second Life is with my mothers computer. Ick. So I'm only able to go on SL for a few minutes a day.
I intend to get a new laptop and return to SL full time.
I also intend to stay on Kaneva. It's nice and friendly. I can work between the two worlds. It'll be fun.

Beyond that I've no clue what is going on and way too often I've no idea who raved me.
