Reflections on CBF Meeting at True Christmas 2008
Dear Brothers and Sisters,

It is my joy to reflect upon the evening we spent together at True Christmas! It was my privilege to be your host in this place, my first hangout built by the avatar, lol_mom.
Last year, I had noticed many new places being built with a Christmas theme, but few actually included Christ. That is why I felt moved to create my own tribute to the real reason why we celebrate with family and friends. The gift of Christmas keeps on giving hope to the humble, but unfortunately, most people reject this priceless treasure offered freely to them through Christ. It was my prayer that the message of True Christmas would touch hearts and inspire visitors to receive the Savior who offers them eternal life!

We met in the entrance of this place to see three Magi surrounded by their instruments of research. There was an illustrated planisphere of the constellations, an ancient globe, a compass, and several armillary spheres to help them find their location under the blanket of stars surrounding us. These wise men were gazing across the sky toward the North star which seemed to hover over one specific place as if pointing their way. Nearby, many scrolls of prophetic scripture, such as Micah 5:2 and Isaiah 7:14, also directed their attention toward the city of Bethlehem, where a virgin mother
was destined to give birth to the Savior of the world.

Next, we traveled the long road to Bethlehem, as we watched Joseph leading Mary, who sat upon their donkey. They climbed hills after hill, ever pressing on towards the city of Joseph's birth, in order to obey Caesar's decree of returning to one's hometown for a census. We also felt as if we traveled with the Magi, who kept their eyes on that brightest star, leading their way to the very same destination.

At last, we arrived to the birthplace of the Messiah! Shepherds in the fields guided their lambs as they beheld the angels singing, announcing the birth of the King! We looked with wonder at the sight of the newborn baby, sleeping in a manger filled with hay. He was encircled by his parents and the shepherds as well as animals who kept him warm with their breath. In front of the manger scene, we found gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh, placed upon a Hebrew blanket. Apparently the wise men had just arrived to do Him their homage! In the rafters and the loft were a myriad of angels. On each side of the dwelling were stacks of hay. Although this part is not Biblical, it still is dear to my heart. Sitting on the hay were varieties of gifts offered by visitors to this Kaneva hangout! There were birthday cakes, candy hearts and plenty of stuffed animals! People who behold this sweet sight of the Nativity are often moved to honor Him in a special way that only Kanevites can do. These gifts were a tangible expression of their love for the Lord Jesus Christ and their desire to honor Him.

I invited members and visitors to come into the Chapel for a Christmas teaching.
We listened to Luke 2
Bethlehem Story by Jimmy DeYoung
Did Jesus Fulfill All the Prophecies?
and Astronomical Signs to Jesus' Birth

Then we returned to the manger area to praise and worship the Lord in song. We had a total of 102 people attend this meeting!  People were touched to hear the Gospel message, the good news of salvation!
We were born to live, but Jesus was born to die! Why? His sacrifice paid our penalty of sin so we can be forgiven and reunited with the Father! This means we can live forever in the joyful presence of God! May the Gift of Christmas bring salvation and joy to every member of the Christian Believers Fellowship!

All My Love,

lol_mom
