Life's Upside Down

Do you know the times when life goes all wrong? These are times when everything is going really well, your at the top of the hill and you dont see the edge of the cliff. Well today happened to be one of those days.

Work was going well, pretty much ahead of schedule. I had everything worked out....until I found out that somebody somewhere, change something without letting me know and now I have to redo all the work I had done. This sort of set me back big time.

Personal life got set back as well...I'm in the US right now on work. I assumed I would get back to India on the 17th of December and based all my further trips on that one date (big mistake). Today I realised that I missed by a day and I would be back in India only on the 18th of December...well...that's basically it. I've got to rebook all my tickets which cost me some money. It's only money right.. :-)

Looking at the bright side, things could have been worse. Probably, stuff will work itself out in the end. it usually does.

I was asked post an entry for a poetry competition at work. I usually write stories, first time I'm trying my hand at poetry. Any critical analysis or comments are accepted. The title was "Celebrating Life"

Celebrating Life

While walking down the path of life,
What must you do most?
From happiness, sadness, hope and pain,
Celebration is what I toast.

“Let happiness rule all your life”,
Is easy to propose;
But saying and doing are different things,
As one might well suppose.

Sadness is always the difficult one,
Celebrating it is tough,
But look at sadness with a positive eye,
And life might not just be so rough.

So go and celebrate all your life,
With happiness, peace and joy,
Whence all the world celebrates with you
You will live forever, my boy.
