The Meaning of Life? Who cares?

I don't know about you, but sometimes I get consumed with the meaning of life and it gets very depressing! And then other times, I couldn't care less about the meaning of life, and I'm just having a good time. Maybe it's not good to get too introspective. For example, look at all the 19th century philosophers who grappled with the meaning of life. Their writing is depressing and many of them commited suicide.

To Michael: On the Creative Process

You cannot build it from its parts

Would be an empty, lifeless shell

With many false and ugly starts

The mage's failed spell.

I grows in space beyond the soul

It waits and festers far from thought

And burns you like a glowing coal

When it is misbegot

The ignorance of masses known

Those worthy of the vast disdain

Drag fragile towers of genius down

And all writhe in their pain.

The loss cannot be understood

There is no measure but the heart

The struglle must go forth for good

And suffer its full part.

Will not be in this time or none

The power of rest and happiness

The wonderous work is never done

Too few will see and bless.

The many ramblings of the mind

All turn to gold or coal or dust

But those who seek will always find

The answer to their lust.

You cannot build it from its parts

It grows from wholeness, or it won't

With many false and ugly starts

We blindly tap the font.

The meaning of life

"What is the meaning of life?" is a meaningless question. Just think about what the question asks. Asking what life means is like asking "What does green mean?" It's a nonsense question. It's entirely appropriate that Monty Python devoted a movie to it. A better question would be, "What is the purpose of life?" Or, better yet, "Does life have a purpose?" Or even better, "Does it matter if life has a purpose? And if so, why?" Before you even start asking the question, you might want to ask yourself why you are asking it. Is it so you will feel better in some way? Will it make you feel validated? Less depressed? Will it help you figure out what you should be doing? Why are you even asking the question?

you post wat u wrote in the forum and then then the owner comes in if he likes wat uve got then he will add it but u gotta follow the story theme u can add new charecters and create new twist but make it blend with all the other entries do some reasearch be4 u right and at least get a couple of main facts and suporting details that stand out in the story so people can reconize your entry as building on the story and continuing the suspense lol so have fun cant wait 2 see wat u come up with
