Reflections on MomaKahn Voices of Angels
Dear Brothers and Sisters,

It is my joy to reflect upon our evening together at MomaKahn Voices of Angels! Created by CBF member Kahness, this hangout is designed to make every visitor feel completely at home! Based on a residential blueprint, VOA is uniquely equipped to do just that! More than a floor plan, this home is warmly decorated and filled with an atmosphere of love, bringing comfort to all who enter. We first arrived at the entrance and foyer of VOA. Ornate double doors of etched glass and oak made for an elegant entry. We stepped down into surroundings of rich carpets set off by fabric walls and topped by stone tile ceiling. The living room, furnished with couches and chairs, seemed to encourage us to stay and chat awhile. A billiards table offered pleasant relief for the menfolk, once their tastes for conversation would wane. Seven picture windows positioned above the couches gave a lovely view of the yard as they awaited their turn at cue. Beyond the sandboxes and teeter-totters, daydreamers were treated to a variety of trees, sporting various shades of auburn.

We walked through the kitchen and admired the well-stocked pantry and cabinets. A large birthday cake filled the air with a sweet aroma, baked especially for our visit, and empty bowls waited nearby. The walls of adjacent rooms were decorated with the theme of the Fruits of the Spirit. We made our way out of the kitchen into a large den with a grand piano near the window. It was glossy and black, decorated with a silky white flower arrangement on top. A drum set waited nearby for someone brave enough to try them. This large den had polished wood floors and sacred art to enhance the atmosphere. Some folks took seats on the couches by the projector screen, while others opted to explore more thoroughly. The curious were not disappointed: each little nook took them to another cozy room, designed for the comforts of home. The master bedroom provided hospitality fit for a King! The view outside the windows of this room was more than some could resist, so they trekked out the back door to enjoy the backyard gardens and pool! An unexpected bonus was a little chapel of love built there! Decorated with columns and hearts, it stood ready for an impromptu ceremony for romantic couples to pledge their love.

Our meeting began with the sounds of praise and worship. We greeted visitors and welcomed members as they arrived. (I counted 52!) The presence of God fell upon us as we sang His praise in one accord. Then we were seated for a powerful sermon called "I Am Not Ashamed of the Scandal". It was preached by Paul Washer; his words cut many of us to the heart. He challenged whether most people who attend Church on Sunday will even escape hell because they are not even saved. True repentance is where new life in Christ begins and it cannot be substituted with a rote prayer on a card. Wanting to go to heaven is not enough! We must hate the sin we once loved and love the Savior that as sinners we once hated! (If you missed this sermon, you must go hear it on youtube!)

Kahness followed this sermon with more worship music. She then told us her vision and purpose for Voices of Angels hangout. It was to be a safe home for anyone to share social communication and to enjoy worship and praise of God. She told about her friends who supported her through tough times. "They were here when Voices of Angels was created, when I had no voice, when I thought life was over. God gave me the home here that has been in my heart all my life, a place of peace, comfort and joy."

Kahness has followed her heart by creating a home where all are welcome to enjoy the atmosphere of God's love. May this vision be carried to completion by every member of the Christian Believers Fellowship.

All My Love,
