I sat there as the guards pulled my best friend out of the room. I just sat there knowing there was nothing I could do, They would have tranquilized me if i had tried to stop them. As I looked at what my best friend had become, I remembered her old self. Her once aqua blue eyes were now a deep red, and her bueatiful long blond hair was now also a deep red. I knew it wouldn't be long before I would be dragged off to their labs myself, I only had 1 more year until I would be the same age as she was now. That was two months ago, and I have a new room mate she's pretty cool I mean she's younger , but she's alot more developed than most her age. Her name Jazzi Violetio, and she's thirteen. I tried to tell her what will happen to her once she turns 16, but she just won't believe me. She thinks I heard it from the other kids, but I guess she hasn't notice that i don't go out with the other kids. They're too young for me to hang out with, I mean I know that they're only maybe a couple years below me, but they just live in a fantasy world.I sat there, I wondered when I changed and they took me, would Jazzi then believe or would she continue to deny it. I knew the first change, I knew that when my nails turned red then I would be pulled out, they only got Dedra late becuase, she made sure to stay in the room and not let them see her. I thought about the fun times me and dedra had, had, but all it brought back to me was pain and sadness. Suddenly there was a knock at the door, I walked over, The gaurds never knocked, could it be jazzi? "Co-come in." I stuttered. "Like saying that makes a difference who comes in." Jazzi said annoyingly, as I walked away from the door as it opened. "Shut up, Jazzi! She doesn't need need you to stress her out too." Jakob said as he sat down on the end of my bed. "And who ARE you to tell me what to do?" Jazzi said disgustingly. "Name's Jakob Rose, and I happen to be very much in love with your room mate here." he replied modestly. "JAKOB! I'm with Dedra and you know that's why I'm trying to dig up dirt on what your father and his co-workers are up to so I can have my life with Dedra back." "well, you'll have to live with me being in love with you." he said smirking. I sighed staring up at the ceiling. "so? you find out anything?" "of course! Remember I have a key card to the lab and I can look at anything I want. only problem is that they took some of my privleges, so all I could do is talk to Dedra, but all she said was that she never wants to spaek to any of the people she used to know."
