AS A GREAT LOVER OF ART I WAS COMPELLED TO BUILD A GRAND MUSEUM TO HOUSE SOME OF THE GREAT WORKS OF ART FROM TIMES PAST. MY MUSEUM HOUSES WORKS BY MONET, MANET, VAN GOGH, RAPHAEL, DEGAS, CASSATT, AND MANY OTHERS. MOST OF THE PAINTINGS ARE OF WOMEN BUT THERE ARE SPRINKLINGS OF MEN TOO. TAKE YOUR TIME AND LEISURELY ENJOY THE MUSEUM. ALSO, VISIT THE ENDTIME MUSEUM TOO FOR RELIGIOUS ART. RAVE!

Reflections on CBF at the Cultural Art Museum

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

Let us reflect upon the evening shared together at the Kaneva Cultural Art Museum. Created by the artist roadlesstraveled, this museum surrounded us with an atmosphere of beauty. We met in the entrance to a sign that welcomed CBF as a group. The titled portrait of Jesus were the first to meet the eye as well as the bold dedication of the museum "to the Glory & Honor of JESUS CHRIST, my LORD AND SAVIOR!" Feminine beauty, painted by artist John Waterhouse, decorated the foyer. More beautiful women's portraits were featured in the hallway, painted by John Godward, master artist of the Romantic period. As we exited the hall, we saw more women depicted by French and English Classical artists.

Let me state that this museum is not one to see in a rush. Each and every painting was handpicked by roadlesstraveled, with her marvelous eye for quality. These paintings, without exception, can be pondered at length, so that over time, new details to appreciate will continually be found within them. I encourage you to return often and discover for yourself the secrets that await you. Learning some of the background on these artists will enhance your perspective as well. You will find a rich mix of cultures, styles, and historical perspective at the Cultural Art Museum. Admission is always free, and hours are 24/7/365 (servers permitting)! We made our way up to the second floor to enjoy the master painters of antiquity. This featured works of Da Vinci, Raphael, Rembrandt and Renoir. The Mona Lisa and the Last Supper were particularly stunning to behold. Many other artists' work, such as Van Gogh, Bouguereau and Rossetti were too lovely for words. My personal favorite was the Lauri Blank gallery which is located at the center of the museum. This living artist paints in the style of the old masters, capturing beauty and emotion with the skill of her brush. We took a quick break in the coffee shop while enjoying the Native American art found within it.

Next came the third floor, which began with an array of Royalty. Spectacular scenery of North America, painted by Bierstadt and Moran, were next to be enjoyed. Then we entered the Modern Art Museum area. This included the Modern Living-Masters Gallery of today's best artists. Asians, Africans, Native Americans, male, female, young and old, each one was so uniquely portrayed here. Beyond the paintings was a section of stained glass and sculpture! First, the grand collection of Tiffany window art, then Dale Chihuly's, and finally kaneva sculptures by roadlesstraveled herself. She described them as wonderful, wacky, wild, modern art sculptures. (I have to agree, wholeheartedly!) There is SO much more to enjoy at this museum but it would require a novel, not a letter, to describe.

We made our way to the main conference area. After several worship videos, roadlesstraveled shared with us her personal testimony. Since she is my real-life mother, this story held particular meaning to me. She told how by the reading of books she came to private conclusion that God is dead. To her credit, let me add that she never once revealed this to us children, so that it would not cause us to struggle. Her empty walk without the Lord continued for twenty years. She suffered with mental anguish and demons that would accuse her, making her cry out for them to leave. Then, in the early 80's, my aunt invited me to a Charismatic prayer meeting. There, I learned that Jesus wanted to be first in my life. I was delighted to learn that, just like the days of the Apostles, God also wanted to release the fruits and gifts of the Holy Spirit in me. One by one, my family started to be changed, including my sister, my grandmother (road's mom), and my cousins. My mother thought we were all off the deep end, but one night, she and my father reluctantly agreed to attend a special ministry concert. During the worship music, mom felt a fiery hand on her back. She turned to see if it was my dad, but was surprised to see that it was no person at all! She heard a voice in her heart say "I Am Jesus Christ, I Am God! Choose today whom you will follow, Me or the world!" My dad, in trying to comfort her, touched her, only to recoil, because she was also hot as fire! Suddenly, she came to me and asked "What is that prayer that you pray when you are a sinner and want to follow Jesus?" I was amazed at this opportunity and gladly led her to receive Him. The anointing of God came on her and stayed, so that she saw glory which natural eyes cannot see. "The flowers were sprinkled with sparkly lights, the trees glistened with diamonds, the grass was illuminated greener and the world was just awesome!!" she explained. "I had to ask God to lift the anointing after several weeks because it was so heavy. The good news is that the demons left and never came back." She continued, "I would not change this life in Christ for anything the world has to offer." As roadlesstraveled has received a gift of beauty, so she has shared it in many ways at Kaneva. May the transforming work of the Holy Spirit continue to flow through every member of the Christian Believers Fellowship.
