Welcome to Jerusalem at the time of Christ. This major project is an attempt to represent the look and feel of the ancient city - within the limitations of Kaneva building possibilities. Follow the footsteps of Jesus in his Passion, death and glorious Resurrection.

Reflections on Jerusalem City
Dear Brothers and Sisters,
It is my joy to reflect upon the evening we spent together at Jerusalem City! We met in corridors underneath the capital city of first century Israel! Our host, builder Jay_Larsen, escorted us to the orientation room, so that we could study the map and prepare to walk in the footsteps of the Messiah! We then walked up the stairs and through portals to the Theater, a coliseum style structure with riser seating and large screen in front. Here, Jay explained that he had done his best as a builder to represent the look and feel of this ancient City. He invited us to follow the path that Jesus had walked from his passion and death to his glorious resurrection.
We went into a two-story home and ascended the steps to enter the location of the last supper. Tables and reclining seats were set up for the apostles. Various renditions of this event set in artwork were displayed on the walls for our reflection. Next, we went past the Holy Temple complex to the Garden of Gethsemane, where Jesus sweat blood as He prayed for God's will to be done. We walked to the House of Herod and the house of Caiphas where these men had judged the Lord. After this, we went to Antonio's Fortress where Pilate washed his hands before he had Jesus scourged and sent for crucifixion.
We walked through the Via Dolorosa and then up to Golgotha, the place of the Skull, where Jesus was crucified. A barren tree stood here with the sign INRI, naming Jesus of Nazareth, King of the Jews. As we came up to kneel close to the tree, red roses suddenly bloomed on its branches, reminding us of the new life purchased for us by the Blood of the Lamb. We lingered here to pray for forgiveness of our sins and in gratitude for God's mercy.
We followed slowly to the Garden Tomb where the Lord was buried for three days. The women went in first, then the men, and all of us found it to be empty. Jay quoted the angel by asking us "Why do you seek the living among the dead? He is risen, just as He said!" Then the rock in back of the tomb rolled away to reveal a glorious message about Jesus, who is alive forevermore! This whole tour helped to bring the pages of history alive to us, the very greatest story ever told. I know that I will never be the same, and that I plan to return here often to pray and reflect what Christ did for me. I thank God for His mercy demonstrated on Calvary in the sacrifice of Jesus. May this gift bring everlasting life to every member of the Christian Believers Fellowship!
All My Love,
