I played with the newborn kittens and fed Noel (momma) tuna fish, checked my 3 email accounts and TMZ.com for the latest Britney news, washed my face, got the dog a treat, and we both went to bed (with Jay) at 2am. No shit. You asked.

Slim, now in L.A., and on his own landed a deal with Def Jam at the end of August 2007. It's pretty obvious why.

UPDATE on new years resolution

It's the end of the first quarter of 2007, seems a good time to check in on my resolutions...

1. Take better care of my skin
2. Get a new tattoo

3. Pay off my debt - One of my investment portfolios wasn't earning a very respectable rate of return so I closed it and paid off my debt.

4. Have laser hair removal... again

5. Accessorize more

6. Lose my mind - maybe just worry less

7. Go to a Hawks game with my sister - ...and SkinnyMills what could be better.

8. Run 15 miles every week - I'm up to about 5 miles -- damn it!!!!!!!!

9. Be a better wife -- To hell with this one. What was I thinking?

10. Find my zen spot

11. Read a book that's NOT nonfiction

12. Call family and friends at 12:01 on their birthday

13. Create a video genealogy for my children

14. Be a (harmless) hacker - just once

15. Go to Italy with my dad

16. Teach my daughter to sew

Say a Prayer for Maynard

It is a beautiful day in Georgia -- but pretty shitty for me. I'm at home today. My Maynard was hit by a car this morning and he's having surgery this afternoon to repair a broken hip and femur. He's stable but they can't tell how bad the organ damage is yet. My kids are aware but naive about how serious it is. Everything is internal.

I should have seen it coming. Our mojo was totally off all morning. Ethan's alarm didn't go off, my sis was late getting up and leaving, and the bus came early. I thought Maynard was in the house. They had gone out to do their 'business' when we got up. Both came back in and had Cheerios with the kids. They were chasing each other, fighting over a chewie. Ethan walked out to catch the bus, but it was pulling away. I watched Ethan and what I thought was both dogs walk back in the front door. Rolf was in the kitchen with Ethan. But Maynard was outside and chased Nick down the driveway on his way to work. As Nick pulled out another car was coming down the road.

Please say a prayer for Maynard or send some positive energy our way -- whatever you believe in. We're pretty torn up. His surgery is at 4:30pm. He's the best dog. So gentle and full of life.
