Hello, Im Kaunaz,

I'm in the business of creating original art to decorate or to convey information in artistic and professional disciplines, which focus on visual communication and presentation. Various methods are used to create and combine symbols, images and/or words to create a visual representation of ideas and messages. I can perform difficult and complex graphic arts and mapping for various applications. Some of the numerous and varied aspects of illustration and graphic design, include perspective, color, the elements of design, lettering, advertising, composition, layout, and computer graphics. Using these techniques I have created thousands of textures and graphics for various online MMOG type environments from a simple colored tile to detailed clothing skin and accessories for avatars to fantasy graphic paintings. been using Gimp for a few years now , along side photoshop, mspaint, paintpro, and Adobe illustrator, I prefere the Gimp its straight forward and user friendly as well it uses less resources than some of the other programs. I Look forward to getting together for some time to learn and grow together...

Community Name Change

Hi everyone,

just to update everyone that I've re-named this group from gimp artists to "G-Artists" the reason being is that not everyone uses the gimp and we all want to share in the development of making graphics, so our group is G-Artists meaning graphic artists...

Group Session - Intro to Gimp, basic graphics intro

Hi Everyone,

if you want to come attend a group session id like to meet Saturday March 21st at 9:30 pm EST and Sunday afternoon possibly.

Please check forums for update...

I would like to hear from you... share what youve learned

share our work....please post your interest and ideas as you can to the forums...

Knowledge is Power

Hi everyone, as you all know i started this group with the intent to learn as well as teach graphics for individuals like you... I'm also looking for people to step up and give a shout or lesson if they can on any graphic program they know... the more the merrier...

if you are interested in learning with Gimp or other programs pls list what you would like to learn in the forum so i can design a plan of approach, with a group session twice a month at least...

Please invite your friends or anyone you know who is interested in graphics and design...

Why I started this group

I have been asked by many users on Kaneva various questions as to how they can make graphics, textures and clothing for their usage in WOK...
As there are many who are using GIMP and it is free to all...
My idea here is to help as many as possible, and form a group ....

Comming January or February 2009(depending on my schedule) I would like to organize a group together, a sort of class you could say, so far ive concidered using MSN, Skype or even Ventrillo. Im not sure of all the details i will post more as i figure this out.

If you have any ideas or If you are interested in such a group pls send me k-mail letting me know... I will not do this unless i get at least 5ppl together at one time. my intention is to hold a weekly session for a set number of weeks...

Gimp has improved since the 2.0 version which most of you have, in order to keep up with the technology please check this link and load the new fixes

Welcome to GIMP ARTISTS
