Well, I don't know how many people my age hang out here but if there are teens that are willing to look to me for advice and life lessons, I'd be happy to oblige. I have been through alot in my life. Currently, my 16 year old daughter is due to have a baby on Thanksgiving day. I'm not sure quiet yet how I feel about that yet. Do I feel she is ready? No. I try to help her out as much as I can afford to without being a cruch for her. She has made quite a few bad decisions recently and now she has to grow up fast and learn to be responsible and stand on her own two feet as well. I hope someday we will have a better relationship than we do now. There is no gratitude from her-she just expects everyone to do things for her. And things just don't work that way in the real world. Can I just quit my job and expect someone else to pay the bills for me? No. So we are kind of in a tough love stage. I do love her but she will never learn to survive on her own or care for her unborn son if I made excuses for her and did everything for her. She only calls when she wants something. She managed to get into her own apartment without a job but time is running out if she doesn't figure something out soon and she doesn't want to follow rules at home. The father of her baby is a senior in high school, never worked a job, and I doubt his loyalty to her and the baby. Wether he can stand up and take emotional, physical, and financial responsibilty is not yet proven. He can't even get gas to take her to doctory appointments. She doesn't have a drivers liscence and has quit school. Being in a small town, there are not options for GED classes or other services to help her get things taken care of without traveling to another town. Basically, this is the main stress in my life and even though I try to stand back and let her take on this responsiblity, I still find myself worrying and even losing sleep over it.

Other than that, I try to focus on work and gaining some advancement, paying my bills, enjoying life, spending time with my son, laughing with friends, and trying to travel a little. I'm limited by funding of course so I budget a great deal. I own my house which is no great accomplishment. It's a fixxer upper and will probably be many years before everything we need to do will get done. Most of the time, I just prefer to stay home on the weekends and relax. I'm pretty laid back and don't stress about small stuff like wether the windows are clean or if I should scrub floor boards behind the couch. LOL I was raised by my grandparents and my grandmother was very picky about cleaning. But I am a polar opposite. Not a slob but I do the minimal. That might change as I get more done on the house but right now, really doesn't seem to make much of a difference.

I am getting older and starting to see where I am not living a very healthy life so trying to work myself up to getting healthier. Working out, getting exercise, etc. Easier said than done. Work, taking care of grandmother since my grandfather died 3 years ago, home, kids, all if it kind of drains me. But faith and family keep me going so here I am.
