I met one of my FAVE bands..

So as many of you know.. I'm a HUGE music fan!!! :) LOVE IT TO DEATH (pun intended ;) And My new FAVE band is Family Force 5....although.... i've actually known about the three brothers in the band.. since well.. 1995 lol, when I saw them at Creation... They've been musically there for me through well... A major issue in my life. when I was growing up...I was being molested by my father.. from about age 8 till age 17. the only things that really kept him away was music.. and the music I would listen to.. was usually DC Talk... but.... in 1995 when I bought the R.P.M. tape by "the brothers" I fell in love with the song "Hide Me Away" if you don't know the lyrics.. i'll send them to you..they are amazing! especially in the time and what I was going through.... ANYWAY...Yesterday.. was Scranton Warped tour. and I was deteremined to meet the guys... accept a couple problems came into play.. for instance.... on the calendar at work... I had asked off for the day... (i was scheduled anyway) and i was wanting to take my niece because she LOVES 3 of the guys in the band... but she had play rehearsal and her mother didn't make a decision to let her go yet. so.. and I wasn't going to go by myself.. that wouldn't be any fun... then yesterday the person who was going to take my place...got a flat tire so she was late.. GRR lol... but anyway.. we FINALLY got there..... I pulled into the wrong parking lot.. The VIP section.. which is kind of funny.. because I had no idea lol.... the guy says "It must be your lucky day." and I said "Why?" and he said.. "Cause your in the VIP parking." I was like OOO so what lol.. We went in and I don't know who was on stage.. but New Found Glory came on after them so we kind of walked around and I watched them... then we started our search for the Family Force 5 Merch Table... walked around in circles for a couple times. lol.. and then we bumped into Fatty.. almost literally.. he was walking one way and we were walking the other. I said "Hi Fatty" as he walked by and he said "What's up" and shook my hand as we both kept walking. I wasn't stopping in that mess of people lol..plus....he looked like he was on a mission hehe... We went up the hill and finally found their table. we talked to "Intern" for a little bit. and then went to get something to eat.. came back and sat in the grass... and watched an amazing band called "SplitFifty" (www.myspace.com/splitfifty) and kind of just hung out there... then I saw that "tofupup" had come back to the merch table so we sort of just got to know her and talked to her for the rest of the day.. we also met a couple members of the band of "All Left Out" and then we started getting tired.and i was thinking of leaving... and I started feeling kind of stupid for hanging around lol.. but I figured I have nothing else to do.. so we went and watched a band or two .. and then came back to sit on the grass... later.. "Xanadau" came by the tent and we got a picture of him and Hannah and we had also taken pictures with "tofuPup" and "Intern" ... then "Quigon" came out a bit later and "Tofupup" told him about us waiting patiently for the band to come out....so he told me that he would go to the bus and if any of the guys are up that he would send them down/up. I said oh wow thank you that would be great....so he left to go see what the guys were up to.. and I started feeling bad. lol.. because now they were going to come up just to meet us and well.. it's just us.. nothing too big. we went and ate something and watched another band (not sure who it was lol) and then came back and sat in the grass again....we decided to get a picture with Hannah and Byrce (The Rocket Summer) and I talked to him for a while, he's a nice guy..if you get a chance check out his music.. :) we hung out again at the booth with "Tofupup" and "Intern" talked about a few things.. watched people take down their merch booths.... and then "xanadau" came back and asked me why we were still here and if we had a life lol. I told him not today. i told him we hadn't been there all day anyway only since 4. and he said oh okay. that's better. (we didn't start waiting at the booth until like 5:30) it seemed like forever but it wasn't lol. "Chapstique" came to the booth first and I asked him if he could take a picture with Hannah. and he said "SURE!!!" he took a pic with Hannah and then one with me...then I gave him a birthday card. and told him that I got it for him for his birthday coming up.. lol. he got soo excited about it. he's like "can I open it now!!!!!" I said "sure why not" then he like RIPPED it open.. and laughed at the picture on the front.. it was a picture of a buffalo with a "hairstyle" like his.....he thought it was funny.. and gave me a hug. he said thank you and I said your very welcome!! we talked about something for a couple more minutes i don't really remember what.. he was sort of busy. they were starting to pack up the merch table/booth. so I told Hannah we should step out of the way. we went back to our grass and sat down... Hannah started crying a little because Derek is one of her fave's in the band..(her fave was yet to come ;) A couple minutes went by, and I looked up and "Quigon" was pointing over at us and I saw "F(ph)atty" looking over at us. Quigon walked over with him and introduced us and said we'd been waiting patiently to meet them. I stood up and extended my hand and introduced us again. (lol) and he introduced himself. and Quigon walked away. (i was so nervous) I dont' remember what I said first to him. I think I said "It's very nice to meet you." and he nodded. than I remembered I had stuff for him. and I said "oh I have presents for you." and he said "oh okay" I handed him two cards.. one that was in reference to something I was praying for him for. and the other a birthday card for him and Jacob's upcoming birthday. he said "oh wow thank you" I had gotten a "prophecy" or a "word from God" in 2002 that had to do with the Olds Brothers.. and I never had a chance to give it to them or tell them... so I handed him the paper that I wrote it on and told him how I got it and what I thought it is and told him i just don't want them to think i'm crazy or anything. that's why I had to give it to them in person. he started reading it and we stood next to each other. as he was reading I'd say things to him and he'd answer. I didn't interupt him too much :) and i called him hon lol... don't know why. but I did. lol. we talked a little bit. after he was done reading he said "Wow" about the "prophecy" (i don't know what else to call it. lol - i told him that too) then I handed him a 3X5 card.. (Last month I prayed for them and all these verses and words started coming to me for each of the guys in the band. so I wrote each of the band members names on a 3X5 card and then the word i got and the verse I got) I gave Josh his and told him how I got that and he said what does the verse say. I said I didn't know because if I would've read it it probably wouldn't mean anything to me.. only too him. and he said yea probably your right. (or something like that) then we started talking again and I looked around and saw "Soul Glow Activatur" and "Crouton" (cept I said their real names lol) and told Hannah and she freaked. Josh looked up at her. and I said Hannah it's alright.. Calm down. it's just them. and Josh said yea they won't bite you go ahead. so she started walking over to them. and i moved over so that I could see them lol. ( i had to watch hannah to make sure she was okay). Sam was trying to show them where Hannah and I were and Josh turned around and yelled Soli and motioned for him to come over.. Solomon saw Hannah and opened his arms to her and she froze (hehe) so he started walking over and Jacob followed. they came up and stood next to Josh and in front of me. (NOW i was nervous.. lol. i didn't know what to say.) I think it was more because. WOW i've been waiting for this moment for 13 years. how crazy is that? so I got nervous because all three of them are there staring at me like WHAT? hehe.. what do you want. I snapped back to reality and I told them that I have liked them since their "the brothers" days..and they were all surprised about that. (not like TOOO surprised but impressed I gues) and I told them how they helped me through a VERY difficult time in my life and I thanked them, (josh had given me the "prophecy" back to have me fold it) so since I had the "prophecy" in my hand i gave it to Soli and told him and Jacob. all about it (it was too dark outside by this time to read it) and him and Jacob both said "oh wow" " that's kewl" " awesome" a bunch of things.. then I gave Jacob his birthday card. and I gave Jacob and Soli their 3x5 cards (I forgot to give Derek and Nathan theirs) (so much more happened that I don't remember.. or just don't feel like telling everyone lol) Jacob asked if anyone BIG has played there. and he asked about Jusitn Timberlak ..????lol.. I told him I like Justin and i dont' remember what he said lol.. solomon said something too. then we did pictures... Hannah took a pic with her two boys.. Jacob and Soli.. and I took one with all three of them.. I wanted to take one with just me and Josh but. it was getting time for us to leave.. they had a long day and were tired so I didn't want to annoy them too much. after pictures.. we had a small conversation abotu something. and then they gave us hugs.. (josh hugged me 3 times lol)we went back over to the booth..and I started looking for my keys. I heard Derek singing Nu Thang by Dc Talk and I said "Are you singing DC Talk?"and he said "yes".. and someone yelled "She likes Dc Talk!!!" I started singing with Derek and Soli looked at us like we were crazy lol. but it's alright.. because well we are hehe.. Soli took one of the twizzlers I had brought for them. and I said "I bought those for all you guys" and he said "Awesome. I love twizzlers thanx. they'll get eaten." and he hugged me again. and so did Derek lol. and they were wanting to move the tent over so they could take it apart so I got out of the way. Hannah was talking to Jacob and I motioned to her that it was time to go. I said bye to Derek and Soli and they said it was nice meeting you. I said you guys too.. then I looked for Josh.. I smiled at him and he smiled and waved.. as we walked away I turned around said BYE EVERYONE.. It was nice meeting ALL of you!!!" they all looked up from what they were doing and waved and yelled bye.. and some of them said "it was nice meeting you too." and some said "Bye Chris and Hannah".. and Jacob said "See you in the fall" well that's all I can really remember.. soooooo much more happened and was said.. sorry! lol ~CHRIS~ I love Josh! :)
