I HAVE MOVED THE CLUB TO THE MOUNTAIN RETREAT
Hello Everyone,
I just moved the club to the new Mountain Retreat, and begun the build. There will be a house with Christmas lights, giant candy canes,a large tree topped with a star and an angel, with gifts underneath, candles, food galore, and everything else that kaneva has to offer for Christmas decorating.
So far,all there are now,is a walkway, the front porch, some windows,a bit of flooring,a partial roof, and a few walls. I cannot wait to finish it and have all of you over. Should be fun. I love the mountains, and even though I grew up just about an hour or so from Big Bear,I have never known what it was like to wake up Christmas morning with snow on the ground, the twinkling stars in the sky,and mountains all around.
So I am trying to create that here. I hope you all like it. Stop by,join, and don't forget to leave comments and raves.I just love those and do return the favor. Have a lovely weekend

Christmas Story
Christmas stories “WHEN Scrooge awoke, it was so dark, that looking out of bed, he could scarcely distinguish the transparent window from the opaque walls of his chamber”. Thus begins the 2nd chapter of the world’s most famous Christmas story, ”A Christmas Carol”, by Charles Dickens. Christmas stories are important tools for spreading Christmas cheer. Actually it is said that Charles Dickens’ story, “A Christmas Carol”, saved Christmas as we know it today. When Charles Dickens wrote his story in the 18th century, the celebration of Xmas was on the wane. But Dickens used his story to describe Christmas as a time of joy, a time when people respect each other, and a time when everything is all right. People liked to hear this story, and in the following years, happy Christmas stories became more and more popular together with the decorated Christmas tree, Christmas gifts, and the overall Christmas spirit. If you like christmas stories, you can print and read the christmas stories from this page.

Please Read,very cool
PLEASE READ A Different Christmas Poem The embers glowed softly, and in their dim light, I gazed round the room and I cherished the sight.
My wife was asleep, her head on my chest, My daughter beside me, angelic in rest. Outside the snow fell, a blanket of white,
Transforming the yard to a winter delight. The sparkling lights in the tree I believe, Completed the magic that was Christmas Eve.
My eyelids were heavy, my breathing was deep, Secure and surrounded by love I would sleep. In perfect contentment, or so it would seem,
So I slumbered, perhaps I started to dream. The sound wasn't loud, and it wasn't too near, But I opened my eyes when it tickled my ear.
Perhaps just a cough, I didn't quite know, Then the sure sound of footsteps outside in the snow. My soul gave a tremble, I struggled to hear,
And I crept to the door just to see who was near. Standing out in the cold and the dark of the night, A lone figure stood, his face weary and tight.
A soldier, I puzzled, some twenty years old, Perhaps a Marine, huddled here in the cold. Alone in the dark, he looked up and smiled,
Standing watch over me, and my wife and my child. "What are you doing?", I asked without fear, "Come in this moment, it's freezing out here.
Put down your pack, brush the snow from your sleeve, You should be at home on a cold Christmas Eve.
For barely a moment I saw his eyes shift, Away from the cold and the snow blown in drifts, To the window that danced with a warm fire's light
Then he sighed and he said "Its really all right, I'm out here by choice. I'm here every night." "It's my duty to stand at the front of the line,
That separates you from the darkest of times. No one had to ask or beg or implore me." "I'm proud to stand here like my fathers before me.
My Gramps died at ' Pearl on a day in December,' Then he sighed, "That's a Christmas 'Gram always remembers."
"My dad stood his watch in the jungles of ' Nam ', And now it is my turn and so, here I am. I've not seen my own son in more than a while,
But my wife sends me pictures, he's sure got her smile" Then he bent and he carefully pulled from his bag, The red, white, and blue... an American flag.
"I can live through the cold and the being alone, Away from my family, my house and my home." "I can stand at my post through the rain and the sleet,
I can sleep in a foxhole with little to eat. I can carry the weight of killing another, Or lay down my life with my sister and brother."
Who stand at the front against any and all, To ensure for all time that this flag will not fall." "So go back inside," he said, "harbor no fright,
Your family is waiting and I'll be all right." "But isn't there something I can do, at the least, "Give you money," I asked, "or prepare you a feast?
It seems all too little for all that you've done, For being away from your wife and your son." Then his eye welled a tear that held no regret,
"Just tell us you love us, and never forget. To fight for our rights back at home while we're gone, To stand your own watch, no matter how long."
"For when we come home, either standing or dead, To know you remember we fought and we bled. Is payment enough, and with that we will trust,
That we mattered to you as you mattered to us."

Friends for a Reason, a Season,or Lifetime
the people in my life... Current mood: amused Category: Blogging This was originally by PRINCESS LISA MACKAY... a girl on my Friends List. I thught it was very enlightening, in a way..
. the people in my life....... People come into your life for a reason, a season or a lifetime.
When you know which one it is, you will know what to do for that person.
When someone is in your life for a REASON, it is usually to meet a need you have expressed.
They have come to assist you through a difficulty, to provide you with guidance and support, to aid you physically, emotionally or spiritually.
They may seem like a godsend and they are. They are there for the reason you need them to be. Then, without any wrongdoing on your part or at an inconvenient time, this person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end. Sometimes they die. Sometimes they walk away.
Sometimes they act up and force you to take a stand. What we must realize is that our need has been met, our desire fulfilled, their work is done.
The prayer you sent up has been answered and now it is time to move on.
Some people come into your life for a SEASON, because your turn has come to share, grow or learn. They bring you an experience of peace or make you laugh. They may teach you something you have never done. They usually give you an unbelievable amount of joy. Be lieve it, it is real. But only for a season.
LIFETIME relationships teach you lifetime lessons, things you must build upon in order to have a solid emotional foundation. Your job is to accept the lesson, love the person and put what you have learned to use in all other relationships and areas of your life. It is said that love is blind but friendship is clairvoyant. Thank you for being a part of my life, whether you were a reason, a season or a lifetime.

Christmas With the McSmiths
Hello Everyone,
Wow! Christmas is just right around the corner. I thought, since the Holidays are nearly here, and we are having a holiday theme contest, why not create something a little different than my usual club themes. I love Christmas. It is my favorite holiday of the year. We have 2 beautiful little Grand babies, and I can't wait for the morning they wake up and tear into their
presents. It will be so much fun to see their faces.
There are also so many parents who are members of kaneva, and kids who are members as well. Wouldn't it be fun, to have something for everyone to enjoy. This community will have Santa, his sleigh, and his reindeer. There will be a large Tree decorated with all the lights, garland, icicles, the Angel at the top of the tree, and presents under the tree for all to enjoy.
A lake outside with all the lights shining on the sparkling evening water, and a beautiful gazebo to sit in,or dance in.
Christmas will be playing in all the areas of this club, and pictures of my family, for all to see,and get to know me better, for those who don't already.
Snow abound, too. There will be pictures of the many cities of my part of California, for all who have never been to California.
There are so many beautiful communities here in California, I thought it would be nice to let you all experience what I have experienced my entire life.
So, come on in,join, comment, and please, leave a rave. Tell your friends and family about this community.
All are welcome,no matter what your age.
