Being a newbie on here, it's nice to find a site with believers in the general nastiness of the internet. I hope to meet you all soon, even though my time on the computer is limited. If anyone wants to invite me as a friend, please add CBF in the invite, because I don't invite those I don't know. Been a believer for 30 years, and just want more Jesus! He's the Real Thing!

MEMORIES Memories linger as time drifts by Locked up in a box you cant untie The unpleasant gnaw at you deep within While others rejoice and make you sing But they should be treasured for you never know When they will be helpful for you to show That it has happened before and now you can cope As each new day brings a little more hope! (1979) GOD GAVE ME THE WORDS GOD gave me the words; what, where, and why He said have faith in him and I shall not die His voice sounded true and so I believed So with spirit guidance and ministry his love did lead Empathy, compassion, mercy, comfort, and joy Mind, meanings, reflections of self; GOD did deploy My soul was thus drawn to him as my inner light shone And my heart now gives thanks as my soul journeys on. (2008) Sorry it has taken me so long to respond to your message. I just opened it actually. I am snowed under setting up an online college and website at present. Blessings and I shall be back when less busy thanks.

Reflections on CBF at the Christian Believers Fellowship
Dear Brothers and Sisters,

It is my joy to reflect upon the meeting we had at the Christian Believers Fellowship! We entered into joyful praise as the band Jesus Culture sang out the rock tune "Your Love Never Fails"! Then, Jason Upton took us into an atmosphere of worship as he exalted the "Lion of Judah"! More worship songs followed, one that especially touched hearts was the Celtic Prayer by Lianna Klassen.

I opened in prayer and invited all to be seated for the ministry presentation. We watched the video "Who I am Makes A Difference: The Blue Ribbon Story". This true story showed us how honoring people we value can literally make the difference of life or death for them!

Next, we listened to the second half of Joyce Meyer's "Learning to Fly" message. For time's sake the first three parts were skipped, but all six parts are highly recommended. This inspiring and amusing message helped to equip us to reach out to the communities we have established on Kaneva, to cherish and nurture them, and to help them grow.

I give God the glory for the marvelous way He is moving at the virtual World of Kaneva! May He who began this good work be faithful to complete it in us! This is my heartfelt prayer for every member of the Christian Believers Fellowship!

All My Love,

Important: Changes for the Christian Believers Fellowship
My beloved brothers and sisters,

This letter will be different than any other I have ever written to you. It is also a letter that has received more prayer, preparation, and tears than any which have preceded it. Do not read it now if hurried or distracted. Please save it to read during a time that you can take it to God in prayer, searching your heart and purpose in your witness for Christ at Kaneva. Please let me share something that happened to me which directly concerns you.

It was May 21st, the day after our last Church service. I had eagles on my mind as I was writing my reflection letter, concerning An Eagles Revelation. As I wrote it, God began to show me revelations about our CBF. He said that in the past, you all were like newly hatched birds in the nest. But now, all of you, especially the leaders, have grown too big to fit in the nest. Occasionally, you even get on each others nerves,
gasp! Why? You aren't content in that little nest because you no longer belong in there! Newborns need constant care, but it is not appropriate for those who have grown to remain. Although I meant well, I may have contributed to the problem. My dedication to you for these last 18 months was to see you grow and to step into the role God has for you. I kept the worms coming at such a fast pace that you didn't even have a moment to realize you had grown up, much less start nurturing the young of your own.

We are all too tight in that nest now. No wonder we had drama! We haven't yet entered into the role God planned for us.
Its time to act our age and fly. All you folks with Christian hangouts are like these adolescent eagles. As long as I gave you worms via my letters and weekly meetings, it was easy for you to stay and open your beaks wide. But now its time for lol_mom_eagle to give you the loving "left foot of fellowship". You were created to fly. Now is the time. God says so!

CBF was never supposed to be about CBF. It was supposed to be about equipping all of you to step into the vision God gave to you. Unfortunately, I got such a rhythm going, that before long, it was misunderstood that CBF meetings WERE the ministry. Imagine 363 adolescent eagles all cramped in a nest. Now you know that sight would look silly. Its just as silly for us believers to only be attending meetings all week, yet avoiding mixing with the lost hurting people who need Jesus! God wants me to cut back on the worms and to give you a friendly nudge out of the nest. Some eagles will be afraid at first, but once you start, you will really begin to fly, and best of all, you will really like it!

Do you cringe at the mention of ministry? Do you think it is only for leaders? Think again! Ministry does not mean you must wear a clerics collar or build a cathedral! Ministry is bringing the Gospel of Jesus Christ to others by whatever means the Holy Spirit leads you to do! Often this is done by friendship evangelism. Kaneva is the perfect place to meet people from all over the world, then to build relationships of respect and trust. That is a foundation that can be used to gently offer the free gift of salvation to all you meet. You will have eternity to give thanks for that one day when God led you out of your comfort zone and brought a sinner home to Christ!

Its time to reverse our thinking about meetings. Its not bad to have more than one meeting place a night, in fact its good! We should have several hangouts hosting meetings each night. But we must not have the same faces at every single meeting, 8 nights a week. Preaching to the choir only brings burnout. Its time to get motivated about bringing the lost to be saved, and bring the newly saved to be discipled!

Now, let me address the communities. You who have built hangouts found a way to demonstrate in 3D what is near and dear to your heart. You had some visitors who came to your hangout that were moved to join your community. Do you realize that these people are the ones that God wants you to nurture? When is the last time you looked at your member list, wrote a quick note to them, checked on them, or spend time with them? Their action of joining your community was their vote of confidence in you. This is the open door for you to show Christ to them, whether they are believers or not. You have seen from my example how an owner can communicate with members. You need not be so formal, elaborate or frequent (or long winded, LOL!) as me.  But, do not let your members go for months on end without hearing from you. This is the open door God has given to you. I challenge you to meet with your community members once or twice a month in your hangout!

Those of you who have not yet built hangouts, let me speak to you. God gives different gifts to each of us for the profit of the whole. Are any of you moved by the Spirit to have intercessory prayer? Do any of you just want a refuge where you can soak in the presence of God while listening to anointed prophetic music? Are there any members who enjoy Christian comedy? What about a love of ministry to children, using puppets or cartoons on video? Is anyone inspired at the idea of a Southern Gospel music theater? What about the wonders of the planets that God made? There are endless possibilities, expressed in endless styles. Will you seek God in prayer to find what is His will for you to build at Kaneva? God is so creative. I know He will birth many ideas in you that will touch hearts and fill needs that no one else could reach!

I have been in travail and fervent prayer for a month concerning CBF. I sought God for direction and He spoke clearly with instruction.
He commanded me to change our meeting schedule to every OTHER week. The weeks that we will not meet as a group are for you to develop and nurture your own communities, meeting your members in your hangouts! When I inquired of Him the reason for my pain, He showed me that I have nurtured you 18 months, as long as two full term pregnancies. All this time, I had thought my avatar name was just silly, but to my surprise, I am now learning its true significance. He showed me that I am now birthing many ministries, representative in each of you. I have carried you lovingly for this long, but now a new season must begin. It is time for you to fly! Ask for His Spirit to guide you every step of the way!

There will be no community meeting for the CBF on Wednesday, June 3. This will be the first night that you are to pray, seek the Lord, and meet with those in your circle of influence, at your own hangouts. I am eager to hear reports of what God will do on this first night of your flight! Our next official meeting time together will be on Wednesday, June 10. May God's will be done in each of your lives as you soar to new heights by the power of the Holy Spirit!

All My Love,

Reflections on An Eagles Revelation
Dear Brothers and Sisters,

It is my joy to reflect upon the evening we shared at An Eagles Revelation! We arrived at the entrance of this club of faith, prayer and service. Majestic photos of the bald eagle were displayed on each wall. In the front, at the welcome table,
placed between flower arrangements, was an open Bible.  Poised at the front corners of the table were eagles. On the center wall was the photo of a woolly sheep, representative of the flock guided by our host of the evening, SheepHerder.

To the right, a narrow set of stairs led to a long hallway. Most of us were wandering like lost sheep, till our shepherd gently showed us the way to the secret chambers.
At the beginning of the hall on the right was a gold set of drapes. As we entered this place, the atmosphere changed completely, appearing as fluffy clouds through which we walked.  Sheepherder explained that the entrance room with eagles represented earth. This cloudy room represented the day when the Lord calls upon us to fly in the sky as eagles.  Before us was an image of Jesus, gazing sweetly at a tiny lamb in His embrace. We read His words "My sheep hear my voice...I know them, and they follow me" John 10:27. We walked through this verse, knowing that Jesus is truly the way. This took us to a large cloudy room with a constant fall of snowflakes in front of a large screen. To our left, we saw an image of Jesus reaching out His hand. This was to represent our Lord calling us to come home, for our trials were over. As we walked into His hand, it took us to a golden stairway with walls of shiny gold. At the top we saw an image of the risen Lord in the clouds, surrounded by trumpeting seraphs. We read the words of the Lord's welcome to us: "Well done, thou good and faithful servant. Enter thou into the Joy of the Lord." This room of gold trimmed in blue represented our new home in Heaven. Here we will have no more tears or pain as we live in His presence forever. On the walls we saw images of angels and the animal creatures in the book of Revelation. One of them took us a bit by surprise, a haloed kitten! Sheepherder proudly explained that this represented his dear friend, FaithfulKitten, who had decorated this room so beautifully for us!

It was time for service, so we made our way downstairs to the long hallway, then walked all the way back, to the right and then up steps to giant wooden entrance doors. The view was breathtaking as we entered this church! Above us was a high ceiling of intricate stained glass. In front of us was a wide runner of elegant carpet and the walls were of lovely tiled marble. The front of the sanctuary had simple wooden crosses on each side. Stairways on the left and right of the church led to a balcony area where we could get a close up view of the sanctuary top. It had stained glass of the silhouette with Christ crucified. Honestly, words fail me to describe the beauty of this place. You simply must come visit and explore for yourself.

We began our service with music to worship and celebrate the Lord. Then we heard a life changing message by Joyce Meyer called Birthing of an Eagle. We learned amazing things in this message to inspire us in our walk with the Lord. Many in attendance plan to follow this lesson by watching her next lesson, titled Renewed Like an Eagle. After the message we ascended the golden stairs to abide together in the Heaven area. This was truly a night to treasure in our hearts. The highest goal of our earthly life is to spend eternity in Heaven. This is my desire for every member of the Christian Believers Fellowship.

Reflections on The Spoken Word Church of God
Dear Brothers and Sisters,

Please let me reflect on the evening we spent at The Spoken Word Church of God. We arrived at the entrance, between palm trees, under fluffy clouds skirting across a blue sky. This cleverly constructed fortress was built right upon an inlet of water, encircled by an island! The doors were gilded with golden crosses, and
pictured on each side was a stained glass panel with the silhouette of Christ crucified. The walls were rich marble patterns of purple, a pleasant contrast to the Caribbean sea colors around it. Above the entrance door, a set of windows 32 feet high, arranged in the shape of a cross, lifted our eyes to the high cathedral ceiling which seemed to break right through the sky in its majesty.

Our host for the night welcomed us to come in! Rap4Him, "twin" of Live4Him, warmly greeted each of us as we arrived! These twin avatars have made it their mission to reach lost souls for Christ. They relate to the modern day music of the street and have found a new genre: Holy Hip Hop! Bathed in prayer and the Word of God, working side by side with CBF, Rap4Him hopes to reach many young people on Kaneva with the saving power of the Gospel!

We entered the foyer and enjoyed fellowship, seated in the comfortable chairs and furnishings provided there. On the walls was posted John 3:16 and Romans 8:10:9-13. We then entered the sanctuary, which was breathtaking in its beauty.  A robed choir smiled in front on risers beyond the pulpit. On the left and right of them were the pipes of the organ.
Above the choir was another 32 foot cross of glass windows, a view that inspired us to worship the Lord of Heaven! Four large plush seats of purple were ready to be used by the pastor or elders. Easter lilies in abundance decorated the aisles, steps and pulpit area. The side walls were elegantly decorated with stained colored glass scenes. This truly felt like a worship space where God was exalted and glorified.

We danced before the Lord to worship songs of many styles. Then our speaker, the Reverend T.D. Jakes, came to address the women and the men individually. To the women, he said "We need some militant radical praying women! Jeremiah sent for women of mourning and wailing. Ladies with tears running down their face, hair flying all over, shouting 'Devil! Get off my baby, in Jesus name!!!'" He talked about a Spanish explorer who shook at the sight of jungles full of warlike Amazon women armed with spears and knives. They were determined not to be made slaves. They would willingly kill to keep their tribe free. "Its time for you ladies to take up the sword and fight for your marriage or children or deliverance!", Jakes said. Then he addressed the men: "
We men don't talk, so we use old temptations to mask our pain. Its time for putting away our boyhood toys. You can't deal with the devils you fight without getting on this altar! You've got warfare! God said 'Don't quit, fight back!' It begins with getting on my knees seeking the Lord!"

The house of the Lord was rocking after this awesome message! Members and visitors began to dance and celebrate, shouting out their love for the Lord! No compromise, no fence-sitting, we were going all the way with our God! This was an evening that changed lives, fired us up, and was certainly a night to remember! May we burn more fervently for the Lord in our love and devotion to Him! This is my heartfelt prayer for every member of the Christian Believers Fellowship!

Reflections on Southern Baptist Worship Center
Dear Brothers and Sisters,

It is my joy to reflect upon the evening we spent together at the Southern Baptist Worship Center! We met in the
elegant atmosphere that Sweetie27 created in this small coffeehouse deed. Some chose to read, chat or pray in the comfortable seating she provided on the ground floor fellowship room. Some watched folks through the window as they bought hot dogs from a street vendor near the bus stop. But, most of us began to dance to the wonderful praise and worship songs that we heard playing inside!

Soon, it was time for our meeting! Upstairs we climbed to enter the Worship Center. This was a peaceful sanctuary from the busy city life visible below, through the ground floor windows.
The front of the worship center had a large cross as well as a stained glass image of the risen Savior. Arched panels of stained glass decorated the left and back walls.  On our right was an outdoor patio, visible through arched windows of clear glass. Park benches, picnic tables, and crepe myrtle trees on the patio made it the perfect place to fellowship after services!

Sweetie27 thanked us for coming to her hangout as we made our way to the pews. She explained that the music we were enjoying was similar to the live worship that she and sassy_gal enjoy at their home Church! Visitors and members of CBF enjoyed it very much, responding in spontaneous prayer and praise!

Next, I introduced our speaker, Eileen Fisher, an author and prophetess from Colorado. She shared a message about Joseph being tossed in the pit by his brothers. The name of the message was "The Caravan is Coming!" She helped us understand that his trial did not seem to make sense at the time, but while he was feeling alone and abandoned, the blessing of God was already on the way! Soon, he would be taken to Egypt with the caravan, made ruler under Pharoah, and be able to provide for his hungry father and brothers in their time of need!

I had heard this audio message which was shared live by Eileen in April. It impacted me so much that I was led to make a video out of it. This way, it would be enjoyed more fully by my beloved CBF community. I knew that many of you have become weary with the struggles of your Christian life. This message helped us learn how God wants to carry us through our trials for His greater glory! If you missed this meeting, or would like to review it again, I encourage you to watch it and to add it to your media library. I know that miracles will happen as you listen with open hearts!

Many people at the meeting were blessed by this message, which followed so perfectly the lesson we learned at our previous meeting, concerning our becoming spiritual "Fruit Inspectors". Eileen addressed so many areas and confirmed to us the goodness and trustworthiness of God. We prayed together for each others needs, then enjoyed fellowship on the patio. I know that many were healed and inspired as they listened and prayed together. I love to see how Jesus carries us through lonely and difficult times. May He continue to reveal His mercy to every member of the Christian Believers Fellowship.

All My Love,

lol_mom
