Puss the Cat

Natassia (co-owner of Puss) is in the Air National Guard. She was on base for a drill weekend, and while walking from the chow hall to her unit, she and some friends stumbled upon three little mewing clumps of mud. They realized that the kittens had been left by their mother, and luckily there was a Vet's assistant in the unit. Her friend took the kittens, got them cleaned up and weaned, and within a few weeks, Natassia brought the irresistibly cute Puss home :)

During the summer of 2003, we (Natassia and Tiptoodle) returned from vacation to discover that Puss was very ill. Through many Vet visits and trials and tribulations, we found out that Puss had a feline form of Lupus... an autoimmune disease that caused her body to attack it's own cells.... which was apparently triggered by the use of Hartz Flea treatment (don't use that, BTW!) Now, after years of medication, suffering, and doctor's visits.... Puss is healthy, beautiful, and as playful as ever. We are so thankful to have her alive and in our lives!!!!
