Song of the Day - Life Happened by Tammy Cochran

This is such a great song – as I listen, I reflect on the choices I have made, and realize how those choices have had an impact (both good and bad) on me as well as those I love the most. When I was younger, I remember feeling as though I had the world at my finger tips, and I just knew that one day all my dreams would come true. I guess that was naïve, but then again I guess most feel that way early in life. Through the years, life has taught me that we don’t always get a second chance to do some things over, and some decisions are final, even though they don’t feel like it at the time. With that said, I believe that all things happen for a reason and that in the end, all things work out for the greater good. However, if we are not careful we can miss out on a great deal of positive life experience. And the chance to experience those things again may never come around. Live, laugh and love with everything you have, don’t be afraid to get outside your comfort zone every now and again, you just might find that the grass is a little greener on the other side. :)

Song of the Day - Faith Hill-Lost (my thoughts on Pain, Life and Love)

As mentioned in yesterday’s post, our circumstances in life are often the result of choices made. However, I believe the Lord has a plan for each of us, and in the end, we are where he wants us unless we outright refuse to follow his lead. We all go through pain, that at the time, we think there is no way we will get past. We have all cried out to God at some point asking “why me lord, why do I have to feel this, go through this”. Often times, it’s not until later that we realize exactly why. I’m not saying the Lord causes pain, but I do believe he has an amazing way of turning lemons in to lemonade. And in the process, we become stronger. I say all that to say this – you never know who or what is just around the corner. We may just find what we have always been looking for, and had we not experienced the pain, we wouldn’t cherish and appreciate it when our dreams finally do come true. In my case it’s love, and I simply don’t have words to describe who the Lord had just around the corner for me – she is amazing, and I can’t wait to see what the Lord has planned for us! =)

Song of the Day - More than Everything by Rhett Akins

We have all heard it said “when the right person comes along you will know it”, and I must say unless you have experienced it, there is no way to understand it. My life has been one of longing for true love, but until recently I hadn’t experienced it. Now I know it’s because the time wasn’t right. When I think about everything up to this point, my favorite bible verse comes to mind. Romans 8:28 - And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. Looking back, everything makes sense, the hurt, the pain, all worth it. If I had to do it all again to have you my dear, I would in a second. This song tells the story of my heart and describes my feelings for you. Tember, I love you more than words can express, you are my soul mate, the love of my life.
