Almost ready for prime time ????

I'm thinking the hangout is nearly ready for a grand opening party and i want your honest opinions! I'm not looking for raves...just kind, honest feedback. Have i missed anything obvious? Is there some black hole left gaping visitors will fall into?? Let me know what you think. . . and well of course i hope you Rave and Join !!!!

Retexturing and optimizing world...

Today i am retexturing the world. Same color scheme, just smaller file sizes and also placing the textures in such a way that the visitor arriving at the primary entrance will see the world's textures populate from their viewpoint as they face the main dance area. I had built many worlds in the past according to strict vrml code (think old school text editor building. oh we've come a long way!!). Back in the day it rarely made any difference when during the process we placed the code to texture a particular cube, sphere, torus ect. . . but i discovered this is not the case with the Kworld building process. Sooo, i'm going to have some fun attempting at placing the textures on the items in the order that would visually appear first for the visitors.

KANEVA ROCKS !!!!

I had an absolute BLAST with so many of you tonight at the club. You all made my night so enjoyable and i'm indebted to you. Let me know of your gatherings cuz i'll be there!!

Julyon and Bestla "Hijacked" the party and did a great job of DJ and hosting. Many ppl invited friends and they invited friends...it was all something i had not personally experience until tonight.

Day 2 building of 3d hangout

I think the basic world is fairly dialed in at this point. Dance floor disks above the main dance floor are operational (this disks that have a ring for texture are dance-game-playable on both levels). Got the elevators working up to the planet disk dance area. And tweaked the Accretion Disk pathway for a more enjoyable walk to the "Companion Star" dance floor.

Tomorrow i'll work on 3 or 4 graphics to place on the outside perimeter of the pathway to ponder on the way to the dance floor.

Day 1 of the official construction of the 3d world

Day 1 of the official construction of the 3d world went better than anticipated. I had fun workin' up a virtual set moving planets and stars around!
Enjoy your visit there, i have much more planned, but it gives visitors a basic idea of what i had envisioned.

Beginning Construction

I've officially begun construction of the 3d hangout. Not much there yet, but i'm laying out the pathway of discovery on the "Accretion Disk", and the "Companion Star" dance floor was dropped so ppl could have something to do if they stop by and watch me work up a sweat.

When you enter, you will see this welcome sign showing the basic idea and general layout of the world. I'm just going with texturing the existing ground level tiles either black for space, or magenta for the matter. I will then be placing cubes along the pathway that will have tid bits and info of interest that can be viewed and pondered while walking the pathway on the accretion disk. If you do visit the world, give yourself a treat the first time in and close your eyes when you port in and count to say 10...by then all the textures will have loaded and you can get the full impact :)

Today level 12 WF was reached

Woot Woot, level 12 WF was reached today and the Green Acres deed is now a reality. I will begin working on the disco & maze world this weekend. THANK YOU to all who helped me reach WFL12.

First post

I started this community cuz i wanted to have a place to build a Labyrinth similar but beyond what i did over in CyberTown and the OuterWorlds a few years back. I'm just about able pick up that green acres deed from WF. Once i do that I'll begin creating the Laby and the 3d world will be what i had in mind.
