DEAR LORD, that was the longest waiting EVER for a new season, but I can guarantee you: damn, it was worth it!!!! I just got my hands on the comic book and it's so fraking perfect!
There's something about the Jossverse that just seems right when you get to it, like that's how it's supposed to be and they should have never left us. That's why I was hugging my screen [I really was] a thousand times while reading the first Season 8 issue. It's funny, smart, kick-butt, angsty... everything Buffy! My dearest Scooby Gang is back and [man!] how I missed them!
The only thing I could complain about it [if there's room for that] is the absence of Will up until now. She's my favorite character from the Jossverse and I think I might have a seizure when she debuts on the comic book. The art looks great, too. All of them look really similar to the living characters which helps a lot when it comes to the immersion. I can actually hear them speaking while reading!
I also loved the news about how well the comic book is doing in terms of selling. The first print of 100 thousand copies sold out in just TWO DAYS!! How great is that? Just a little sign that after ten years of glory we are still here and still faithful to the best series ever.
